@hanaryukoku there are a lot of things that are un explained. there is so much lore in the world about things like mermaids, dragons and other such things, because every myth has it's little grains of truth. and possible is the impossibility.

I personally believe this is real for the following reason but I could be wrong.. 1. The knees don't bend. It seems to be propelling through the water using it's fin. 2. I don't see any hair on the head of this creature. Scientist have proven that ocean mammals cannot have hair due to the salt water. 3 if you look closely at the top part under neath the arms it appears to be webbed.. Or maybe it's the water not sure.

It's hard to believe such things really. But in my opinion. I believe that there probably is a mermaid out there. This is how I see fairy tales and creatures. How could these things be just a "made up" story. You can't just do art on something, give it a name, then spread it around. Like actually fairies, or unicorns, or whatever it may be. Someone from the past, or present, may have actually seen this stuff in person.

I'm torn on what to believe. I mean, logically you'd think a mermaid couldn't ever exist. At least the sterotypical half human half fish.

But, if you listen to the man explain it you learn he was inside a cage (hence why he didn't go after it or try to peruse it). He was operating a camera that was outside the cage from the inside.

But like most people say, only 15% of our ocean is discovered. There's a lot out there we don't know about.

@Brian88Jay On the contrary, I'd say as she first appears in the screen her tail is quite plainly propelling her through the water. When she passes over the camera, she seems to have let momentum take over for a second or so, much like a bird does in flight.

I am not saying this is real, but it is certainly convincing if for no other reason than the fact that I can't find any credible piece of the video that directly says "THIS IS FAKE." There is a lack of evidence to prove false.
