  • Hey are there tabs for this song anywhere

  • Nice socks LOL

  • I have the same wah pedal. It's good for beginers. But if ur more experience and want 2 do a real gig, I'd suggest 2 take it a step up like I cry baby. Some sell for $99. I have anather wah pedal Wich I just orderd. It was $169 not cheap but it sounds amazing

  • Hey, i have the exactly same wah pedal!!!!!!

  • anyone havea clue as to while when i play with distortion and this wah as soon as the wah kicks in it bascally takes all the distortion out and muffles it sounds way cleaner as soon as it kicks on it sucks ass i know thia thing isnt great but im new to wahs so maybe thats just the way it is idk.

  • @RcUniverseGuy

Are you plugged into the wah first, and then into the distortion pedal?

The signal chain tends to sound better this way. :-)

  • @JohnJeevasingham ive tried every single chain it just doesn't work i think its a compatibility problem with one of my other pedals nomatter where i put it in the chain it sounds like shit it fucks up the whole tone and muffles it massively when i run it directly with just the wah it sounds perfect

  • In my experience, an abysmal pedal, I wont lie.

The mechanism of using a light sensor has some major faults with it I found, mainly being that backing off the pedal completely resulted in a very noticable change in sound - there was just no smooth transition.

I also felt it drained my tone big time, but thats just me.

  • I agree with everything you said. It is what it is. An ubercheap wah like pedal.

  • @kdc300z but for me who have never owned a wah yet and i'll get it cheap as hell from a guy when i buy some other stuff it'll do?

  • it will do, but it will do not so much. It just does not have the classic wah vibe. Give it a go.

  • i'm gettin one tommorrow, it's already waitin for me at the post office. wah-wah-wah-wah : )

  • getting 1 soon cant wait :D already got a heavy metal (HM300) distortion pedal its hell good :)

  • Yea, I actually like a lot of Behringer pedals. I mean, as long as you aren't a tone snob, and you aren't concerned with a train of them taking some volume away, they work well.

  • hey, i have this pedal, but i dont know how to

configure the timer adjust, please help me =/

  • The timer adjustment is on the bottom of the pedal. There a small hole where inside is a screw that can be turned with a small flat screwdriver.

  • Well done men.....what settings are you using?

  • The settings ar no boost, range is high, the Q and Fine settings are all the way to the right.

  • nice man!!

  • thanks!

  • Can you take the spring out? It really irritated me on my firends pedal when i used it.

  • Yes

  • is it good for more hard rock if i had it playing with a crunch or phaser pedal, or just a metal setting on my amp?

  • no. the sweep is too narrow and it really is a tone sucker. you would most likely be disappointed.

  • thanks, great playing

  • I want your socks!

  • hah!

  • people dont like it that much hah? i just like that its super cheap. but i suppose its not that great in a band setting is it? it sounds like it would get swallowed up by the other sounds

  • Hey, can someone tell me if this is the pedals that if you put the heal down its a bypass? :S And is activated when moved? Has a spring back kinda feel so that if you let go it will go to bypass? :S

Someone may have said it in one of the comments... But i dont got time to read through them...

    Cheers?

  • um yeah i think a dunlop 95H or something does that..check out on the dunlop site they have one im 100% sure

  • It's the 95q of dunlop.

  • Hi, yes this pedal shuts off in the heel down position,. It is adjustable via a knob on the bottom of the pedal, using a small flat screwdriver. It does have a spring in the middle for returning the pedal back to heel down. It does activate when moved away from the heel position.

  • I pretty much like it

  • Even from listening I feel somehow that it is not directly adjusted by potentiometer. It sounds here a bit thin. I go to test it.

  • It is optical. No potentiometer, and its really inexpensive so, yea not the best.

  • nice play

  • in answer to everyones questions, this wah wah will work with every song, (mellow or heavy songs) all a wah wah is, is a tone changer, it doesn't matter if its dunlop cry baby or not :-)

  • You must be funny, there a huge differences in sound of different wahs. You find on youtube comparisions, it is amazing

  • I'll buy this one specially for livin on a prayer.

  • is it good for jimi hendrix songs like vodoo chile...??

  • Will this pedal work with rock or metal-ist stuff like rage against the machine?

  • Little more calmed down I'd say... like Kiss and Bon Jovi, but I still don't have one.

  • Is it good to play Guns n' Roses? For example, Civil War

  • Id say no.... not heavy enough.

  • And does it suck too much tone when it's turned off?

  • not really, its true bypass

  • Thanks

  • so is this one good or not like i want one so i can play the solo for enter sandman

  • probably not good enough for that kind of music.

  • I like it, it sounds good, great for a reggae song, specialy roots. To bad this song sucks though.

  • LOL.. seriously i tot the backing voice was made by the wah

  • I'm about to buy one of these!

  • tell me im probs gonan buy the tommorow and i need a mans opinion would it sound good on stuff liek metallcia and gunznroses???

  • naw man... Its to calm to be a good wah for that kind of music... Its not good enough...

  • o but if i get it do u think i can strillk atleast use it for that kinda music because i can find a good wah fore 75 if guitarcenter or watever place lol but i eiher want something wiuhta hard wah or a multi effects cause they usually have hard wahs

  • i have tried both dunlop and behringer and atm i am using behringer hellbabe, and it is amazing....you can boost it so loud to even sound like whammy bar....amazing...and double cheaper then dunlop one, and btw, you cant hear nothing this pedal can actually do from this videos!

  • did you change the knob?

and would you prefer this over a crybaby wah?

  • no I didnt change the knob.. thats how it comes, and it is not as good as a cry baby.

  • where can you get buddha wahs anyway?

i like this behringer but i dunt no iff i can rely on it

  • You should be able to get the Budda Wah at any major music outlet.... Music123, musiciansfriend, etc...

  • I love this song and I think it sounds really good. = ) Keep playing 311.

  • thanks squintz... definitely my favorite band...

  • THIS IS AND HR from bad brains SONG PEOPLE!!!

  • kinda ironic to name a pedal HELL BABDE and make it sound like some spiritual Buddha sound...

But hea, it does what is has to do :)

  • yea definitely...

  • I GOT ONE OF THOSE.

  • And is it any good?

  • I think its too subtle to be a good wah.... I really only had a few songs in mind that would benefit from its sounds.. the boost switch on it makes it sound horrible, but for calm stuff like in this video, it works well... not a big sweep though.

  • IT SOUNDS LIKE A BUDDHA WAH. IT'S OK.

  • nice sock.

    bitchin cover.

  • XD haha! Thanks! and Thanks! Costco.. Home of the Grey socks..

  • I just got one and so far I love it, but it keeps on picking up radio signals!

  • woah your wah is? There was an amp at my local guitar shop that did that... it was weird... maybe its more suceptable because its optical?

  • generally adding a couple of capacitors can fix this problem, but could be awkward with the pcbs used, i don't know for sure.

  • Lol, my schools fender does that, i thought it was the only one... Its odd aye.

  • my line six suffers that problem

  • i love this pedal too

  • one of my fav songs right now

  • what song is this

  • Whaddup... The song is Who's Got The Herb?. A cover 311 did, I believe Bad Brains may have wrote the song, or was it H.R.? Cant remember. 311 covered it for the collaboration album Hempilation, and it became a huge hit for them, usually played at the end of their concerts prior to the encore song.

  • yea it was the encore last year when i saw them in philly. they're going to be back with snoop dogg july 15th can't wait.

  • mmk thanks cuz i really like this song...

  • is it good with distortion? i'd like to have one but the dunlop or vox are too expensive!

  • I would say it too subtle for distortion. I don't think you will like it. You can try the basic Dunlop Crybaby, from guitarcenter . com for 60 dollars American. That is probably best. I really like the Vox 847 though

  • Lovely playing :)

I'm looking for a wah to use for funky playing (Starskey and Hutch sort of sound) and for playing clean/a little overdriven blues.

Would you recommend this for that, or would I be better off with a dunlop?

Also, what is the build quality like?

    Thanks a lot :)

  • Hello :) Well, I'd say that the Behringer Hellbabe is fairly calm, and possibly too calm for Funk. It's freq range is small. It's very nice, but I'm thinking you may like a Dunlop 535Q or a Vox 847 Wah possibly. Both amazing wah pedals. I purchased the Behringer wah to add a Budda like sound, and I say it does it decently, for a poor mans set up... The build quality is a bit scary. It has a metal base, but the pedal itself is plastic. I don't have any problems with it, but it still is plastic.

  • Thanks!

I did a bit of research today and I'm leaning toward the Vox.

    Have you tried it?

Nice sock by the way :) heh heh

  • Ha! Yea, my grey bottom socks..comfortable. I really like the Vox... I have played both. I think the Dunlop 535Q is geared a bit more towards Metal, ut the Q is adjustable on it, so, tough choice. I think the Vox has a better Mid sweep, closer to a Fulltone wah, but not as expensive. I would get the Vox, especially now since the reissue supports a power supply. I have a Cry Baby classic, its pretty harsh to my ears. Vox for me when I get around to it, smooth transition from heel to toe as well.

  • JUST GOT IT TODAY!!!

  • right on... I really like it.

  • I had this pedal too, when I was still a guitar player. Very adjustable and I think it sounds best with some modern hi gain distortion, where it can get really aggressive.

  • hey nice vid. i have this wah wah pedal but i cant seem to get it to work. it just doesnt do anything.

    any advice?

  • sorry to hear that. Are you running off batteries or a power supply. If you are using a power supply, is it Behringers power supply of some other brand? Have you tried just batteries? HAve you opened it up by any chance to see if the optic lens is blocked by dust or dirt? Any lights at the bottom come on when you step on the pedal?

  • im running off batteries. i can check the power supply cos i dont hav one. i havnt opened it. and no lights cum on.

  • if you have a power supply for another pedal, try that. My battery cable inside stopped working once... I took it apart to see if it had come loose, but it hadnt, but when I put it back together the battery worked. Good luck!

  • I really enjoyed watching your 311 guitar covers. This WGTH was great!

  • Thanks Doc. I love all their songs. Every single one!

  • dude ive got this pedal! it rules!

loadsa people thnk its 2 calm, but if u get th right setting it can be so wild!!!!! =]

  • for sure... I dig it..

  • Can You give Me settings of your hb01 ? I can`t make good sound... :/

  • Sure, I have the range is set to high, no boost, slightly longer time adjustment, Q set all the way to right, and the fine knob also all the way to the right.

  • i want a buddha

  • me too man... me too...

  • im going to get most of tims effects.and some of randy rhoads

  • hah!

  • i hate all the funky notes played on the silver strings that are always tabbed wrong. cuz i can never figure them out...i found em out for come original thats about it

  • What's silver strings?

  • the e,b and g strings 1 2 and 3

  • I think it's a cool and very usable wah.. Expecially for the price.. (paid 39 €)

  • I agree.. Great pedal for the price. Subtle sounds, and definitely different from anything else.

  • I prefer to use Dunlop cry baby 535 q

  • Hmmm I used to have one and I absolutly hated it.

  • Yea, im not surprised by that. No one seems to like it.

  • i need help is th\is wah same or can u make dif sound for like rock songs

  • You can use it for rock but it does not have the range of a Vox or Dunlop or Fulltone, without modification to the pedal. It has a lot of options, like change range and sweep of frequency, but you must adjust the optical hole and make it bigger to get a broader sweep. If you do this it will be a powerful wah pedal. It is a modifiers dream pedal because it has so many options already.

  • so if i put a metal zone mt-2 by boss into it will that do any good?

  • Yea, it will definitely give you a wah sound but it wont be as strong as a traditional wah from vox or dunlop without modification.

  • like what mod should i do

  • what i can suggest is not for the faint of heart, its a serious mod. If you open up the bottom of the wah, you will see the optical sensor and it will be surrounded by a triangle shaped cut out.if you make that cut out bigger, your wah will become more versatile giving it a broader saweep. Be prepared to try a few different times with that hole to get the sound you are looking for. If you mess up, cover the hole with tape and try again. Also remove the 2 rubber feet in the front under the rocker.

  • how do i make the hole and about how big should it b u should make vid about it

  • The whole should not be very gig at all. I would say trim the bigger side of the triangle only slightly, as if you were cutting the white trim off around a wallet sized picture. KNo wwhat Im saying?

  • what should i use to cut it and it is the Hellbabe HB01 Wah-Wah Pedal right and have you cut it and if i make hole to big or small what i do will it ruin it and what shouldi cut it with and i have a mteal zone mt-2 will that do trick too?

  • Use a sharp razor blade. Yes, thats the correct wah pedal. If the hole is too big, cover it with masking tape and start again. The masking tape will stop the optical sensor so dont worry. Its just a bit scary because you are taking something apart. This mod with your metal zone will be fine. DOnt forget to take off the rubber feet at the front under the rocking portion of the pedal.

  • y do that

  • The 2 rubber stoppers in the front are keeping the pedal from dpressing al the way.

  • how wouldi take em off and in vid is that wat u did in the video

  • is mod what u have in vid and y take feet off but did u mod in vid or is that un mod

  • is mod what u have in vid and y take feet off but did u mod in vid or is that un mod

  • This video the pedal is unmodded.

  • so how would i get little rubber thing off and what is i mess up

  • There jsut stuck on there. Jsut to clarfiy, nbo tthe feet under the pedal. The rubber pads under the part that acutally rocks back and forth. Just peel them off. You cant mess it up man.

  • how do i make the hole and about how big should it b u should make vid about it

  • how do i make the hole and about how big should it b u should make vid about it

  • I've just bought this Wah... well, I know that if I pay $100, I'll get better sound, but this sounds pretty ok ;) What really matter is fun, isn't it?

  • Yes absolutely! I agree 100%.

  • And now when I think about it... it was a good choice, because I use it mainly for bass and a soft sound is welcome ;)

  • exactly! Its all about sounds. There is nothing wrong about looking for new sounds to create.

  • thanks

  • Many people have modded the pedal. A couple things you can do is , for starters, remove the 2 rubber pads that are below the toe, other people have also opened it up, and cut the "triangle" around the light a little bigger giving the pedal a larger "sweep".

  • i bought that pedal, and when i play high notes wiht distortion i dont get a good wah sound :(

    Do you know why?

  • Check you rQ and Freq setting on the pedal itself. It also has a very short distance that the pedal is actually active. That might be one of the reasons that many do not like the pedal. It may just be too calm for your style you know? It has no where near the rocking out capabilities that my Cry Baby has.

  • I like your ability to be invited and productive with the average mans budget...

I'm looking in to geting a EQ I was thinking the boss. But is there one you might recommend?

  • Hi DrewFace... I think I will always buy things on a budget! I really believe that the DOD EQ pedal is very good. It's the FX40B from DOD and its about 50 dollars.
