The Taughannock falls are on the other side of the city.

Neither, those water falls are in lower Treman Park. Ithaca falls is accross from the High school and is 6 or 7 times as high. Taghonic ( damn!, I always spell it wrong!) is about 8 miles up the lake and it is about 215 feet high.

@mookieme33 Take route 327 from 13 south like 2 miles south of Butttermilk falls, then about about 4-5 miles to upper Treman, and follow the lower gorge trail i guarantee you you wont regret the drive or the walk..
