  • Crying.

  • Best movie sountrack ever

  • The composer used the elder wand to compose the music, thats why its so good

  • This make me cry, It is so fucking great:)

  • The best epic score ever! In my own opinion.

  • why did Dobby had to die? :(

  • THE DAY THIS CAME OUT WAS MY B=DAY JULY 15th pleas like for harry

  • The first things that I think of when I hear this is the Quidditch field burning down, the castle in flames, and so many people lying dead on the ground. I must admit that this piece makes tears come. This entire movie was one of the saddest the I myself have ever seen.

  • This makes me think that what they taught at hogwarts isn't useless.

  • I really think J.K. Rowling should try to figure out a way to carry on H.P. Maybe a next gen. thing? I know it's kinda overused... but it's a thought.

  • @TheMichaelRedman I think it would be cool if she did a whole series dedicated to Snape. Get a more in depth view of his life, you know?

  • @jacobrgoods116 - Maybe not just Snape. Go more in depth on James, Lily, Sirius, etc. Like a pre-series! How all of them went through Hogwarts. Even as far back as Hagrid and when Tom Riddle was a student

  • My life is so incomplete without HP! I want to cry! Another piece of my childhood, gone.... ;(

  • This song makes me so depressed. I wish Harry Potter never ended. There's a hole in my heart. :(

  • Sometimes I think that maybe there are ppl out there that dislikes song for the fun of it! Just to be assholes >_<

  • This song makes the scene more epic!

  • this was and always will be my favourite part of DH2

  • At the end of the movie, When Voldemort died, I just sat there. I think maybe I felt like what it is like to lose something. I just remember thinking, "It's over". I did really like how they ended the movie with the first thing that played in the first movie. The original Theme

  • This song makes me so sad that the series is over... *thumb up* if you cried at the end.

  • @darknessofthetoshie does that mean we "thumb down" if we didn't cry at the end

  • this song really give me goosebump like i was there, at Hogswarts during the battle...

  • I get chills from this song

  • @GrandRockMan Every time I listen to it!!

  • "Hogwarts is threatened! Man the boundaries, protect us, do your duty to our school...........I've always wanted to use that spell!" :)

McGonagal rocked in this one, one of the best scenes ever imo! Long live Harry Potter!

  • Can't wait for public Pottermore :)

  • if it wasnt for harry how would our childhood look like?

  • I just cant get over and say:its over...theres no harry potter any more...*crying*

  • Music is what defines a movie. You would find this soundtrack under EPIC. ;)

  • Only one word: Epic.

  • Long live Harry Potter!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @SeeYaOnSondee you know the same person who composed the warhorse soundtrack composed the first three harry potter movies...John Williams

  • @jakeflemings Woah really? Thats so cool! I could tell a bit of a similarity in the music....

  • EPIC SONG THUMBS UP !!!!

  • i'm crying.

  • I absolute love how Desplat ventured away from the traditional themes of Harry Potter music to create something equally beautiful but much more epic, thrilling, and fit to the battle scene.

  • Chills... All over me.. During the hole melody. Epic - thats the word.

  • the dislike bar is the same size as voldemorts nose!!

  • best one

  • This song played when the stoneguardians turns alive to protect Hogwarts <3 The chilllllssss!

  • @fflove EPICNESS ;p

  • I didn't expect the faint 'bump' in the beginning, so I pulled out my headphones and shortly thereafter realized that it was the song and NOT a gunshot ringing out. Am I really that paranoid?

  • This is my favourite soundtrack of HP7-2.. omg wanna watch this again!! (FOR THE FIFTH TIME) XD love it love it love it!!

  • you kno, people are really stupid

they compare HP to twilight BUT

they should really be comparing the Lord of the Rings with Harry Potter

i just dont know which side

  • This song makes me wanna cry.. and cry... and cry....

WE LOVE YOU HARRY!!!! AND DONT FORGET IT!!!

  • right, dibs for funeral music

  • the scene that had this song playing in it was my favorite.

  • I always think that something apocolyptical is going to happen and this and in the house in the heartbeat by john murphy will be played...but this!!! song!!! more than anything ...it explains everything

  • I listen to this song when im studying... <3333 HP FOrever!!!....i literally got chills in this part....nobody will ever top that!!

  • this scene with this song made me want to cry

    amazing work alexander desplat

  • My fav song of the whole movie

  • Protego Maxima, Fianto Duri, Repello Inimicum

Protect us Fully, Become Unyeilding, Push back Our Enemies. These are the words we live by.

  • AMAZING THANK YOU CAROLINE

  • omg this is so awesome its making me cry.

  • This was such an emotional scene!

Seeing Hogwarts get destroyed like that.. breaks your heart.

  • @NICKJISFUCKINGSEXY Yeah indeed ... We lived in hogwarts through the movies and seeing it getting destroyed was sth too sad ... :(

  • Professor Mcbadass!!!!!!

  • best scene in the movie, when that lady summons STONE GIANTS and this song begins....chills

  • @vibkneze She calls Minerva McGonagall and she is awesome <3

  • i cried like, 7 times during the movie... AND IM NOT ASHAMED! :O

  • @cejason Not me either

  • @cejason I cried a lot too. (1) When the Trio rode the dragon out of Gringotts, over Diagon Alley and into the clouds. It reminded me of the emotions I felt whilst watching the Buckbeak flight for the first time in PoA. (2) When Harry's talking to the Grey Lady and all we can see behind them is the flashing lights as the teachers cast the shield around Hogwarts. It made me realise that this was it; the battle really had begun. And, now that the battle had begun, the saga would soon end.

  • @TheRetroBandicoot (3) 'GET INSIDE!' As the Giants and Death Eaters bombard the courtyard, McGonagall takes charge. (4) Courtyard Apocolypse as the Trio go to the Boat House. (5) 'Look at me.' (6) Prince's Tale ... best. scene. ever. (7) 'I'll go with you.' (8) Harry sees his parents again. 'Why are you here?' 'We never left.' (9) 'Neville, who's that Hagrid's carrying? ... Neville, who is it? ... HARRY POTTER'S DEAD!!!! ...' Ginny's scream of pain. (The following laughs was the funniest scene.)

  • @TheRetroBandicoot (10) Waving goodbye at the end of the epilogue. Memories.

  • I'm not happy that is th end of Harry Potter but it can't be i cinemas forever. I must buy books for my kids when i will have them :P

  • Every time I hear this I wish I was fighting for Hogwarts.

  • this will be my funeral son long live harry potter!! NEVER LET IT DIE!

  • Best movie soundtrack ever! thumbs up if you agree :,(

  • This was my favorite scene in the movie!!! and this song just made it all the more better..its emotional, sad, and excited..ashame so many people died;(

  • @Blaze2377 Agree, just to think of it makes me burst! I need to stop thinking about it *sobb*

  • It does, for some reason, remind me of The Lion King. Lol.

  • @inor96 I want to say I remember the fight in The Lion King 2, with Simba and Syra. There was a kind like a song, almost the same as this. But this song is the most beautiful soundtrack ever.

  • this sound makes me cryyyyy so emotional at the END

harry potter will always live in our hearts :)

  • 1:33 GO ABERFORTH!

  • Omg i cant remember what song it was, I wouldn't say this piece was stolen but theres another song somewhere that came years before this and sounds very similar but i can't remember wtf it was ARRRGHHHHHHH its pissing me off.

  • Breath taking

  • this sound like in the trailer, but the trailer music isn't from Mr.Desplat

    they remix it???

  • I love the part when professor magonagal is like bringing out the stone people guardians and it was just so awesome and what she said it was awesome!!! LIVE LONG HARRY POTTER

  • i cried so much throughout the film...no i literally cried my eyes out...it was the end...but its not the end because Harry Potter will live on forever! <3

I love this series so much!

    amazing work Desplat! <3

  • Best Soundtrack of the year by a long shot, this song in particular is so damn good it gives me shivers up my spine

  • Harry Potter: the boy who lived, then died, then lived again!

btw, i love this song :D

  • it gave me goosebumps when McGonagall casts the spell and the statues hit the ground and this song plays. i dont know why its just as intense everytime i watch it

  • Its over..... :(

  • @GarryMan73 no its not. it will never be over.

  • This song brings tears to my eyes. To me, it signifies the ending of my childhood. I grew up with this series, since I was nine years old. I'm now 21. But, as Jo has said, "Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."

  • This is my favorite music from the last movie. this music moved me the most and got my heart racing and my eyes tears flowing. <3 Long live the boy who lived.

  • the movie harry potter and this song was so sad

  • Twilight can go to hell after hearing this.

  • Listening to this at the midnight premiere . . . it gave me chills that I will never forget. Long live Harry Potter.

Such an amazing soundtrack, combined at this part with Harry and his buddies running through the devastated Hogwarts, blowing apart Death Eaters and seeing their friends die.

  • i love harry potter! <3

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU THINK THE HARRY POTTER SERIES WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lileminem723 of course it wont die J.K Rowling is making an absolute fucking fortune out of it ;) and i will put alot of money on saying that the next thing she will do is a prequal to Harry Potter where Voldemort first comes to power

  • @lileminem723 I agree totally

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU THINK THAT HARRY POTTER MOVIES SHOULD BE HERE FOREVER!!! LONG LIVE HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!

  • I don't know why, but this part of the movie made me cry the most.

  • I'm sobbing right now. This music gives me chills and I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to it without breaking down; but it's a good breakdown. I think I'd be more upset if I didn't feel anything for it.

  • even better than if it were fast paced music

  • Is it just me or does this sound almost exactly the same as "Statues?"

Well either way I love them both!!! <|:')

  • i've just watched the entire series. realizing how it went from happy magical harry potter and the sorcerer's stone, to this race for life.... it's just astonishing really.

  • I cried through this part! It was so freaking emotional when Harry, Ron and Hermione were running from everyone to find Nagini and everybody was trying to attack them...It showed how loyal friends they are to each other. AMAZING. Or how everyone was protecting Hogwarts...I got sooo into this movie that I felt like WW3 is going to start or something! HAHA. Overall, it's the most amazing movie ever! HP FOREVER AND EVER!

  • just hearing this makes me sad! I hate hearing it in the film cos im always like wahhhhh! :( but it is truely amazing.

  • when this movie comes out it will have backorders to march.everyone is going to want this movie very bad.i cant wait ti have this powerful movie.the soundtrack was the most moving part.this trilogy of harry potter will never die.i will live in us forever.thumbs up if you agree with me

  • one of the best movie series to ever exist.this is such a powerful song in the soundtrack i almost cried listening to it.v the movies have helped me through my own darkest times.cant ever forget that.this soundtrack was the most emotional i have ever heard.i hope that the harry potter trilogy will never die.

  • When I listen to this, I miss Harry Potter SO much. It was and still is my favorite series of books and movies, and I almost start crying when something reminds me of it.

  • When I first saw this scene, I was so moved. I felt like being able to jump into the battle and fight with all my heart because Hogwarts is our home too <3

  • Six people were twilight fans who believed that harry potter ripped off twilight.

  • Best sound track EVER!

  • This song brought tears to my eyes because it was so powerful. It made me realize this is it

  • Listening to this always cheers me up. <3

  • I love HPDH2's soundtrack. It's so emotional, it's just amazing. <3

  • <3

  • this is the only music that make me so in good mood watch this movie.

only like the part at 0:12 - 1:10

  • The day that this movie comes out will be probably the biggest day in entertainment and cinema history. 11-11-11.

  • In this scene it should've been Colin Creevey instead of Lavender Brown that dies cause it was supposed to be him and she survives? or at least thats what the book says.

  • @dreamstalker95 Yes in the book Colin dies and Lavender survives but the film makers haven't included Colin since CoS so I guess they chose someone else of a similar importance level.

  • words cannot describe how much i love harry potter

  • fantastic!

  • @heythere535 it would not make sense

  • heard this music in this harry potter 7,part 2,it makes me wanna cry.

  • Thumbs up if you've grown up with Harry Potter, and this song makes you BAWL LIKE A BABY.

  • a true masterpiece.

  • Such a good soundtrack. It's a shame the film wasn't as good as the book at all.

  • Percy Jackson was one of the first mytholigical/fantasy book series I read. It was my life for about six months. My brother introduced me to Harry Potter two years ago. I arrived for the midnight showing of the FINAL Harry Potter movie 6 HOURS EARLY! Percy Jackson, meet my friend the trashcan.

  • I think its safe to say that this song sums up the franchise so well. I was worried when john williams wouldnt be back for the final film but Alexander did a great job.

  • I've grown up with Harry Potter, I only read the Philosopher's Stone though. But I have grown to be a huge fan and though I was excited for the last movie to come out, after I saw it I was so sad. What are we going to do when we've grown up waiting for the next Harry Potter to come out? Twilight will be done soon, Percy Jackson just started, but Harry, oh jeez. ♥

  • Comment removed

  • smh at those 6 dislikes...

  • don't get mne wrong, cause I love HP (mostly the books) but doesn't this music resemble INCEPTION ost?? does anyone agree with me or am I being delusional?!

  • @QaL54 delusional.

  • Omg i feel lik crying. So many chacters, just dead :(

  • So beautiful! I'm crying

  • I saw the movie 5 times and this music moved me all the times. Great soundtrack. I still feel like I'm about to cry.

  • If you have read the books, I have a question. When Harry dies and sees Dumbledore he notices his scar is gone. But then at the end of the book the last sentences are "The scar had not pained Harry for 19 years. All was well." So I'm confused if ,when Voldemort killed him, did his scar ever come back?

  • @rachy1234578 when harry was with dumbledore he was not in his physical body.. kida iffy thing, it was his mind charecters where everything was possible... the scar never really disappeared from his physical body! ... this is my interpretation..

  • @9431180846 Thank you! I totally understand now =)

  • This is a beginning of a legend..

  • Alexandre Desplat deserves an Oscar for the whole score. I can see that his idol was John Williams, Desplat is the best composer for the series after Williams. The score for part 1 was good, but this one is just amazing! Please dear academy, please, this is the best score of the year! Please just one Oscar at last for the HP-series!!

  • SO emotional, this soundtrack should be nominated for an Oscar.

  • this film was alright

  • Top 3 Music soundtracks

    -Halo

    -Harry Potter

    -Assassin's Creed II

  • @BrickFilmsCinema

    Inception

    The Dark Knight

  • @mongothedestroyer88 oh yeah....Ok. Top 5 then...

  • does anyone else find this depressing

  • @cgfhjmk immensely... it helps me write my depressing stories. It's so epic and heartfelt!

  • this song reminds me all the fight at hogwarts, when hogwarts was being destroyed it was like they were destroying my house, my safe place

  • Return of the King was still ALOT BETTER!!!

  • @andrewapplejacks Though in Fairness i think HP7 part 2 rivals most of the LOTR's scenes, both have a simular story in my eyes- that even the smallest of people can change the course of history

  • So amazing. I cried at that. Never forget the film that accompanied me throughout my childhood. thank you.

  • There was one thing that disappointed me about this film. We never saw Fred Weasley's death. Seriously, he was a beloved character (and my favourite character!) and deserved to have his own full scene and the film would have had a lot more credit taken in for that particular scene. That was one of the most memorable scenes in the entire series and they cut it out. We didn't see Percy's scene. >.> It would have been far more emotional aswell. It would have done a lot more justice.

  • @boffinme80 There is a scene when Fred is dying...

  • @peevesomania When he's DEAD yes but not when he's DYING. There's a difference. Fred's death scene, including Percy's return, was not in the film which really disappointed me.

  • @boffinme80 Fred's death will be in the DVD, but I agree about it needing to be in the whole movie.

  • in the whole VietNam can't say goodbye to Harry Potter,i from vn

  • I hadn't had the chance to see this movie until last night, and I can tell you I didn't breathe for a good two and half hours.

  • @JAXKMAN9988. Actually they did confirm it, remember after the battle Harry left Ron alone while Ron and his family was grieving over his brother, Harry was walking and saw Professor Trelawuney and one of the Patil twins with Lavender and Trelawney said, "oh, no, she's gone." and then she puts a blanket over her head. Really sad scene, it was only for a few seconds, you have to be paying attention to see it, but so sad.
