It looks like that inside grill may be from the original NuTone fan that was in there. I've seen centrifugal units like that used in kitchens as well.

that what i was wondering to the vent blower is more like from a brand division call sound and air or sound/air i might look it up later
normally a centrifugal vent blower intake
wod be a metal duct like on a furnace and moist
or stanky air is drawn into a ceiling or wall
ragister inside the restroom or showeroom and into the duct whear it traval to
the centrifugal vent blower blade wheel some times call a squirrle cage for removal
