Reminds me of equipment my grandparents used to own. LOL They had stereo system branded DYN and another that was branded Claricon. People wold always correct me with "Clarion" and I'd have to show them the receiver to prove that Claricon really existed. LOL Nice front-loading home tape deck btw. Zenith made an interesting array of products in the day. Though I bet they wish they would not have turned down a request to manufacture the first Odyssey vg console.
Iteresting cassette deck, it looks like they were trying to imitate an 8 track.
Which reminds me, I had a Zenith Digilite stereo with an 8 track and turntable. The 8 track player was basically separate, even though it was built into the case. It had the RCA plugs coming out of the back cover of the stereo and plugging into the tape in/out jacks.
It looks like that cassette deck would fit right in where the 8 track player was on my stereo... It's basically the same size.
I've just realized, there'll be no erase protection on that deck since the rear tabs protrude out from the deck mech - just be careful to think twice before pressing that record switch!!
CM great video I like when you have guest stars on the show...You have come a long way in your productions ..I also enjoy very much seeing the older machines I grew up with ...thanks for all your porduction time and the fun you bring to the mighty YOU TUBE...a real class act for sure I also enjoy race cars vid...thanks again cool dude.
great vid awesome unit, that block thing that Evan has is called a Jacob's Ladder. I had one of those, hahaha at the gameboy sounds id love to have an GBA SP and then get all kinds of accessories like for playing music and videos on it and theres this AV cart that lets you use the GBA SP as a monitor, is that johnny cash playing on the other side of that tape you were recording on? your camera you should do a video on the camera that you use to film your videos. youtube comment limits suck

Clarion actuaily means some sort of Bell in french... so it would be a good name for such equipment.

Me too! It's a Philips Turntable I think - you can always tell by the very thin headshell on the end of the tone arm!
tubeie07 3 years ago
i once read that turntable was made by garrard. vm and bsr made changers for zenith as well.

That video was great, because this time there was no reference to "radio" whatsoever, except for depicting the receiver's frequency display.
