Like the vid, and the rucksack too. Very instructive for us who are new to lightweight backpacking. I was converted after going up Mulhacen (see Youtube Mulhacen in winter), with 15kg. I don't want to do that again. Thanks again for sharing, and look us up if you're ever in southern Spain.
Hi there, nice vid. You use the multimat adventure to give the pack shape. Do you find it is necessary to have the other smaller green mat as an additional back panel?
@interlinga The small green mat is actually yellow =) It is not necessary, but adds a bit of extra comfort, and as it is outside it is also easily accessible as a sit mat.
This is a pretty smart way to go about it. That is a beautiful pack. I like your choices in gear. Can't believe the amount and kinds of gear I used to use. Light gear is the only way to go. Thanks for showing this.
@rainbowhiker Thanks for liking it! I used to carry 20+ kg on a week long trip, without much enjoyment. Now I know better, and want t spread the gospel =)
that is cool. there are allot of guys that have a good knack at packing stuff. How much do you think the pack weighs? Or should I say what do the experienced hikers as yourself think a good goal weight wise is to reduce fatigue? thanks!
Thanks for the video, very nice set up Hendrick. I have been considering buying a thermarest neoair but your video has made me reconsider this. Do you find your 130 g mat warm enough in cold weather?
Also do you choose your traditional pieces of kit because you like them or for practicality? I imagine they may weigh less than the modern equivalent.
I hope the pack finds its way to the uk sometime soon
I am new to all this and your video is very helpful. However, I am confused. The second item you put in your pack, the black mat, what is its purpose besides giving the pack some structure? Who is the manufacturer? How much does it weigh?
@NovaPost Thank you! They will come in other colours than black as well, and in bigger sizes - this is the small one, 35 l. Hopefully this summer they become available =)
@kfinnguy Thanks! Frameless pack are very common in ultralight backpacking, and if you do not know how to pack it decently they will turn you off - hence my attempt at illustrating how to pack it =)

Nice Hendrik - those external pockets are cavernous, and I was really impressed by their durability when bushwacking.

@MrPhilTurner I also was surprised how durable they were. I reckon you saw already the Dyneema version?!
