  • Jess, you are so HOT!

  • Hey Jess,

That was a really great story you told about standing up for yourself and your friend. I wish i'd done something like that in high School. I think we are around the same age so as you know things were a little different back then and people weren't as accepting as they are these days. I also wish that the internet had been around then and i would've had access to Youtube and other forums like this where i could have gotten the reassurance i really needed by watching clips like this.

  • You are so cute! ^.^

  • Jess is awesome :D but her and Mary are the best when they're together. I seriously think you guys deserve to be happy!

  • who gives a f..... jk lol

  • This is pretty much my exact story...I don't exerience that much homophiobia but my friends kind of do.

  • Yay for coming out in sophomore year! ^^

I also did the coming out as bi and then running out as gay. ^_^

  • the best ending to a video ive seen. EVER. ur the cutest human being to ever walk the earth

  • I love you jess.

    :) thank you.

  • this is very inspiring! im a sophomore in high school and im trying to to get through it.

  • jess is my fav :)

  • that's such an inspirational story

  • wtf who was that at the end of the video she's attacking u like no other!!!!!!

  • @chiller461 its Brittany rae

  • thats amazing!

  • good for you that you went up to that asshole.

i wish i had the balls to do that.

    thats a fucking awesome story

  • Comment removed

  • i love you, jess

  • god. i've never had any homophobic abuse at school...I'm really lucky. The worst i've had is people saying I'm lying about being a lesbian 'to get attention'.

    great story, jess. you're awesome!

  • aw almost made me cry

  • My Teachers Are Shit!

  • i wonder what she said.??

  • godd stuff like that happened in my school all the time people just being fuckin rude about homosexaulity and i think when people stand up for other people and their friends thats so great wow your a really amazing person Jess and see i used to stand up for other people all the time but i never really had any one to back me up but my bestfriend and for you to take on like 20 people for your friend thats amazing..

  • Wow, Great Story! Michelle is right, you ARE confidence wrapped in sexy :D

  • fantastic story

  • thats amazinggggggg!

  • I LOVE YOU!

  • that is really empowering and amazing that you had the courage to do that. :)

  • hahaha who was hitting you?

  • You were very courageous... i was it not. Your words gave me ;) hope... thx! Have a great day...

  • hey yr words & honesty r amazing- im from the uk - & im so glad that yr msgs have reach sum1 as far away as me. im doing research 4 a drama project, the topic is bout homosexuality & high skl, was wondering if i cud use yr story as some sort of influence- our piece needs realism & is a way 2 give a voice to those who arent always heard. obviously names will b changed and details tweaked to make impersonal. freakylols

  • Haha, tht was a great story. I remember in high school in my group of friends we had this one guy that said something bad about gay ppl, he didn't know me or another person in the group was gay but everyone else did. I cud see everyone cringing as he sed it, everyone was dying to tell him to shut up but didnt dare. I blew up at him about it and then everyone was waiting for him to say something back but he was like "erm...sorry". It was a great moment.

  • your so pretty.

  • wow sooo moved that story was great...

  • jess is amazing!

  • Yeah that really is an amazing feeling- of the whole school stopping and all your friends being right there behind it.

  • wow jess, that's something to tell the generations to come^^(corageous and cute, nice one!)

  • Great story. Really brave. And you're cute :)

  • if that happened to me or one of my friends i'd definitely want to set them in their place

but..im a weenie and not very good at defending myself:/

  • Thats an inspiring story...probably doesn't hurt that I think I could listen to you talk all day long regardless of what you were talking about.

  • very inspiring

  • I think what you did for your friend was amazing! You're amazing <3

  • well i have been out to my friends since 8th grade

and then i fully came out to my peers and family

as a sophomore...and my mom still doesnt like it

but i dont get rediculed too much for it at school anymore

and just like you, when people are being

ignorant towards me or my friends

then i go set them in their place too =)

    nice video <3

    LUFF SARAH!

  • That story was amazing.

The only time I pretty much got a lot of crap [not directed at me, because at that time, I only came out to people close to me] was during the election, Prop 8. People were so negative. But I don't care now. If people ask, I'll tell them I'm bisexual.

  • I loved listening to that story! It was great! I always love watching your videos :)

  • At my highschool almost everyone is "gay." I say that in quotes because a lot of people pretend to be just to get in on something? So me dating other girls was not huge deal.

No one elses coming out was big either.

I'm a sophomore<3. I've been out since I was out the womb. lol. My friends just always assumed, so I never really had a coming out unless you count last year, I started dating; random people were surprised I was dating a girl.

Wow. That was long... SORRY! =]

  • I love how reasonable, kind, and rational you are... and here I come on Friday with my "fuck those mother fuckers"!! I aspire to be like you someday. So wise.

  • similar experience in high school, but there were too many people who hated me and my best guy friend for being gay, so the hating never stopped. From my best friend getting thrown up on because the guy "got sick looking at a fucking fag" to me getting punched by a stranger when I walked out of class....man it was tough times.

  • that was SUCH a good story!

  • when i was in high school my 2 best and only friends where gay (the guy) and bi (the girl) plus we where different so everyone hated us we got so much shit not only discriminating words but food being thrown drinks everything so i got in to many fights/arugments but it never stopped so we just left but they didn't beat us that was our way of beating them.

  • thanks for a great video jess, as usual.

LIES, is that brittany kicking your ass? damn girl's got skills, lol. you guys have a great week, looking forward to next monday. :D

  • Stand for something or you'll stand for nothing. that's cool.

  • I'm bisexual and I've only come out to my closest of friends who I can trust. My only problem is coming out to my family. I'm just not ready to do that yet. But once they know, I'm pretty much out to the world :)

I'm 15 and haven't had any comments directed at me, but I have some guy friends who maybe don't act as masculine as other guys, so they get quite a lot of crap. It really annoys me because, not only is it not any of these people's business, but it's just totally unnecessary.

  • i love listening to you

    you seem very intelligent

  • hahaha was that a shoe? damn, brittany, i'm sorry "lesbian in a bag", is pretty vicious.

awesome advice. yeah, i'm not out at my school yet, but i'm planning to be my senior year. for now, i just tend to stick up for others and often find myself going off at those ignorant assholes. =]

  • Omg! Haha, was that Lesbian in a Bag beating you?!

  • haha

    "LIES"

    that was hilarious

  • why does it say it is no longer available... :(

  • try refreshing the page or playing it in high quality.

  • HaHa I was just getting ready to ask about lesbian in a bag...glad she made an appearance! Were you still conscious after that beat down???

  • i used to stick up for my gay best friend in high school, too. right on.

the ending caught me off guard. in a good way.

    ...that's what she said.

  • jess... you're inspiring!

lmfao to the last 5 seconds of the vid!!

    LIES! lol

  • lmao "LIES!!"

  • uh... a lot of ppl do that... ppl have been wearing beanies for what? 5 years now?

  • omg,(the end) are u ok?

  • she beats me daily.

  • I always knew you were a badass. :)

  • If only we could get the teens in High School to know that it is just a small part of your life. If I knew then what I know now! Whew!

  • I wonder how your friend knows that you are lying about talking to us next week. lol.

  • Good story Jess : ), yeah coming out in high school is very difficult for people to do, I came out this year and I'm in College. Coming out during high school would have made unnecessary drama. Lol did I just see domestic violence in this video? haha

  • Good for you! Very empowering story.

BTW, You're beautiful and adorable! Have a great week and thank you for sharing.

    Sheri~ =]

  • You rock, Jess.

  • I feel like your story could be one of those "after school specials"--in a good way. Do they even still have those? Great video, Jess. Ending a Monday on a high note.

  • i so admire your confidence!! amazing story. that would be such an empowering moment.

  • Your story is very inspiring. It really is not easy to stand up to ignorant people... sometimes it gets very tiring too but I believe that it is very important for social change.

  • i love how whenever Jess says "i like girls" she beams from ear to ear. are there dirty thoughts going on there?

anyway nice vid, nice story. this is the best way to shut people up but seriously could backfire, so maybe not everyone should go and shout down people that are being homophobic towards them

  • Love the story!!! Im haveing problems in middle school. I came out to one of my friends about a week 1/2 ago and she almoste blabed it to someone who I definitly did not whant to know because hes an ideot and he would have told the hole school. After that I was so f*cking scared. Later on in the day (to make an even longer story shorter) I broke down in S.S class so at the end of the day my teacher ended up walking me out to my parents car and told them what happend.

by the way LOVE the ENDING!

  • loved the ending hahaha☮

  • The last part of this video scared me so badly...

Seriously, I think I jumped out of my chair.

  • katieisntcool, I did the same thing XD Other than being scared shitless that was a great video :)

  • really? I was just thinking "I wonder why 'lesbian in a bag' hasn't shown up yet" and then "oh, there she is" (the title kinda gave it away for me).

  • um...ow

  • this video made me smile. i wish i had your confidence that you had when i was in high school. i wish stood up for myself more. when i look back and some of the things that was done to me makes me want to cry but i know, just like you said, they will (and probably already have) got theirs in the end. and my life is pretty good right now, so i'm doing ok.

  • That was such a great story, I'm glad that you had that group of people to back you up in high school! Great video and the ending made my day, haha!

  • I was waiting for her to scream 'gay bash' at the end when her friend was hitting her lol

  • LOL that would've been perfect, dammit.

  • Well-told story for one take.

  • i wish i had that power!

this is a great video, good job

  • Great video! Cute ending :)

  • my school is pretty good when it comes to gay ppl. There is this group of kids that like to yell "faggot" when they see a certain gay couple together.

it doesn't bother me cuz i know they're just doing it to look cool in front of their friends.

  • lesbian in a bag went kind of berserk??? 0.0 XD still would love to put a name to the "face"

  • hahahahahah.

  • omg that "lies" was kinda shocking. but the rest was funny.

really good story, i wish i had the balls to do something like that. and yeah, high school does suck, and i can't wait till it's over. =/

  • I would have to agree with Katiesue888... your high school life experience was inspiring! I loved this vid =)

  • lies! lmao amazing!!

  • -_-

  • Love It!! You and *Lesbian in a bag* are funny together, Her last video is in that same room hummmmmmm CUTENESS!! You girls would rock as a couple!!

  • Really enjoyed this one. We must have a Q&A with this lesbian in a bag person, though. She could, of course, bring the bag along :)

  • do you just put sex in the title to get more views? :P hehe.

  • maybe. :)

  • attacked by the lesbian in a bag! great story (:

  • the lies part totally scared me XD

  • This was good to hear after a sucky day at Christian school. Haha.

    :]

  • wow. Your story was pretty inspiring. =) I hated high school.

  • Great story!

  • I 2nd blahhchristi's comment.Awesome story and great advice Jess;)

  • lmfao! haha, the ending made my day!

  • great video awesome message...and then of course extremely funny at the end hahah i'm guessing lesbian in a bag?

  • good one

    lmfao at the end

  • It's pretty sexist, I think for people to be more bothered by gays more so than lesbians.

  • Ik! Guys love girl on girl action, but hardly anyone seems to like guy on guy, so its not accepted. its stupid and bigot.

  • Seriously. I'm glad you agree. :)

  • btw nice story, you go girl!

  • lmao; the ending is great, "LIES!"

but, wow, awesome story and great advice :)

  • thanks so much:)
