Actually I disagree with this premiss. A company has a right to curtail production for any reason they want. No laws would have been broken in doing this and I fail to see any problem with ethics.
Back in 2008 here in Oklahoma gas was 4 bucks a gallon with a barrel at 150 bucks...April 2011 gas was almost 4 per gallon here in Oklahoma again when a barrel was only 110 bucks.....After doing the math, price per gallon was nearly 1 dollar more than back in 2008.....They blew smoke up our ass saying E10 fuel would be cheaper..Two weeks ago part of the reason for high pump prices was do to the cost of corn to make E10...Got to love the lies from those people.
The reason gas goes up is because we won't drill for our own oil because of the deomocrats and the environmental wackos. Also because of OPEC. They can cut oil production anytime they want to and they hate the US.
How do you not buy gas? It's not that simple. Kids have to be brought to school. People have jobs. Gas can go up as much as they want it to and people will still have to buy gas.
What the hell are you yelling about? There's NOTHING you can do about it. The Illumiati own you. Deal with it. They'll get there's in due time. No need to have a heart attack. Go buy a bike or something you won't have to worry about it.
The auto industry designs concept cars that can solve the high gas demand problem, but refuse to market them. We need Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Loss of revenue can make large companies, even the auto industries; change their "business model". Sure the government can help with legislation to force them to put out new technology, but the true power is in our hands. Stop buying or leasing NEW gasoline powered cars for a year. Tell everyone to wait a year. See my vids.
Your right endofsuburbia. This jerk has no idea what he is talking about. bp doesn't control the price of a comodity, and neither does OPEC btw. Price is driven by demand. Want to stop paying, stop driving. Funny thing is that same people complain about negative impact on environment and dependence on oil, but can't stand to see oil price go up that discourages both.
'edyveder' you are missing the point. It's not that simple. Price of oil is driven by GREED. Take your pink glassed off and see 'Syriana' with George Clooney.
Thanks - I'll check it out. I've lived in Europe for 2.5 years now and I can say that it is definitely possible to reduce oil consumption in U.S. (we consume over 45% of the world oil). Nuclear, wind, geo, is real energy that can be used for homes and public transportation such as train systems (popular in London, Paris, New York). Cars are much smaller here. There is no need for every family having an SUV or 2. Motorcycles & scooters are also more common modes of transport.
Don't like the price of gas? Stop driving! Can't stop driving? Then change your living arrangement so you don't have to drive, because it's not going to get any better. Rather than whining, the smart people are cluing into the fact that the end of cheap energy is over and they're getting prepared. Start building your own lifeboat now.
well see thats the thing , the pipes they use on oil refineries arent corrosive , there made of the same bullshit as the steel garters on a skyscraper, the whole corrosion thing is bullshit , and so is the fact that the alaskan oil field they shut down is our least most productive oil refinery, it only produdes .68% of our countries oil, it should have only gone up about 2/3 of a penny , not two freaken dollars a barrel
FYI "bp" no longer stands for British Petroleum since it merged with Amoco (The Old American Oil Company). It's publicly traded on the NYSE and partly owned by Americans...

What about all of that 'corrosion' bullshit?
And why does BP (A.K.A. BRITISH PETROLEUM!!!) control OUR Alaskan oil fields?

FYI "bp" no longer stands for British Petroleum since it merged with Amoco (The Old American Oil Company). It's publicly traded on the NYSE and partly owned by Americans...

Yeah, leave it to the Americans to get all PC on us...
KFC anyone? The Colonel is long in his grave; who owns Kentucky Fried Chicken anymore?! The same people who ate there still eat at "KFC"...
And by the way, why did Sunny Delight's marketers change it to "Sunny D"? I blame the British! lol
