  • This is mainstream music now. A "respectable" choice for the masses. When it first came out it seemed only the drug crowd liked it.

  • tull is hardly mainstrem. more so then than now

  • I think it is a Canadian news show called W-5 that uses this song as their opening theme song. You can't get more staid then that.

  • You got it all backwards. The 'drug crowd' back than enjoyed Pictures at the Exibition. Rap or hip hop wouldn't survive a week...

  • Not at my highschool, nobody even knew about Emerson, Lake and Palmer. I bought the Tarkus album after a free concert at the National Arts center. I was front row centre.

  • Greatness!!!!!!

  • It maybe old, but a classic Tull tune.

  • The Ideal Thing To Do With Knowledge Of The Present.....

  • Such a cool song; my favorite by Tull. Thanks for posting this.

  • I read that Anderson wrote 'living in the past' as a homage to Take 5. Although Paul Desmond would be more proud because he was the one who wrote Take 5, not Brubeck.

  • An amazing song and all in 5/4 too. Dave Brubeck would be proud.

  • My absolute favorite Tull song. Recorded 4 years before I was born.

  • an absolute classic!!!

  • great clip for one of their finest songs. Long live Tull!

  • Excellent track, nice images too. Thanks

  • Nice montage to one of their best songs.
