according to john 1:1 the word was god, the last of verse 1. so was is past tense, not present tense, if you know your english language. so then also in isaiah was in past tense, the crucifixion, was slaughtered , before the foundation of the world, so being logical, he was killed before we and mankind was supposedly made. using common sense, it does not fit in with the here and now. After being a witness for over 2 decades I've seen it all. Publishers handing out 10 magazines at a time. Children running down a city street sticking magazines in every door. Publishers claiming to have a bible study when they meet a stranger on the street more than twice. There numbers (literature placements, bible studies, return visits, hours in service is hype) does not reflect the truth. Of course with a foundation of lies, 1874, 1914, 1925, 1975 what can you expect?

There's a logical fallacy in the calculations. There are 1.3m newly baptized, but the 800k missing is not a subpart of that number, they are largley unconnected numbers, you can't say it's 60% of it. Many of those 800k were long baptized when they left, so fair would be to say that in 4 years there was roughly 21% increase from newly baptized and a 13% decrease from the people who left.

Even if no one would listen, we would still proclaim the good news as long as Jehovah permits it. There was a 2007 research study done on religion in America that stated that the JWs had the highest turnover rate of any religion in the US. About 2/3, it said, who are raised JW leave the organization. I for one am glad that I sinned by going to college.

Actually the Bible ENPHATICALLY says that EVERYONE WILL BE RESURRECTED, just some for a resurrection of life, and others for a resurrection of Judgement. Yes I did know that. It's baffling isnt it. I personally don't think that the Bible is the only holy book, so I wouldnt work on that basis. However, I was a Witness for 23 years, and I researched and studied enough to know that its not the 'truth'. With the advent of the internet many now have access to revealing info about the WTS. Watchtower comments is a high quality expose'. I wish you well with your search.

Christianity is believing in Jesus Christ as your saviour/God and following His Word (the Bible). It's as simple as that. Salvation is a gift from God, not something to be earned. If you study the Bible and follow the teachings within the Scripture, that is guide to living a Christian life. Church is a place to fellowship with others who believe in Jesus as well.

If you believe/have a personal relationship with Jesus, study the Scripture, then you are saved.
