@TheSportsfan5 Lte is long term evolution. It's a form of technology that is considered 4G, like Verizon and Sprint's EVDO is 3G and Like AT&T and T-mobile's HSPA is 3G. Verizon and AT&T are going to lte and Sprint is using Wimax (much slower) and T-mobile might use lte in the future, but right now they are calling their HSPA+ 4G even though it's still 3G. The iPhone 4 isn't getting lte, in fact Verizon won't get an lte phone until the Summer and AT&T is due for one this quarter. So no, it's not

The employee of Verizon said that they will be getting the IPhone in the next year but as of the date today it has been 1 year and almost 4 months. And as the Apple contract says "We will be signing a contract with Verizon somtime in 2012" because they renewed their contract with At&t in 2009. So im sure that these conceited Verizon employees and customers will get whats coming to them, not only because they will not get the IPhone but also because it funny how At&t keeps suing Verizon!

I work for Verizon Wireless retail store. The 4th generation iPhone will be running on Verizon's new LTE network. Its compatible with everything and it should be released between this Summer or Fall of 2010. Even if Verizon doesn't sell the iPhones, they can still be bought, unlocked and then put on the 4g network. Nothing AT&T can do about it since their contract with Apple is about over with.

I have t-mobile and it sucks and I use the iPhone on t-mobile and you can use 3G you just have to tell t-mobile so you have all the features on an iPhone AT&T even on t-mobile works

and I always get no service on t-mobile even when I had the sidekick 08 I switched to an iPhone

The iphone cannot be just be easily switched over to Verizon. The hardware in the iphone does not support Verizon Wireless's network. VZ Wireless uses a CDMA type 3G network. The current generation iPhone only works with GSM type 3G networks, which AT&T uses. I have not seen an CDMA capable iPhone prototype yet, so don't hold your breath. IMO, its more likely they will build CDMA into the next iPhone (aka 4G) rather than try to modify the current generation, as its more cost effective.

@lochtefeldm well this video is proof but a lot of people have been making this claim and i find it hard to believe that customer service reps and store clerks would know something about a deal thats been mainly kept under wraps by Verizon & Apple. The best bet is that there will be a 4G Verizon iPhone but were YEARS away from 4G being available nationwide, right now I believe its gonna roll out sometime this year in very few markets for testing.
