@treeradioproductions nope, we're on a almost exact copy of the original version. Its the same song, she just adds a double handed hammer-ons & she adds a acoustic tap at the end. Dont get me wrong, Im not a fan, but she is a very good guitarist, People should know about the real creater of the song, Im just letting them know that if someone deserves credit for the musical composition of the song, its michael hedges,the genius behind this masterpiece. (this is my right to comment on this video)

But, you're right, any one that makes such a good version of his song should indeed get credit for it. She chose a song from him rather than another artist, that is admirable.

@jacko238 Fair enough, I'm certainly glad to see a large public exposure for fingerhand style guitar. But I stand by my other comments. Watch Hedges' Ritual Dance "live at Esalen", for example, to see and hear how many more layers of counterpoint there can be in this music. The extended techniques serve a musical purpose not just a visual one. Michael makes it look fluent and easy, not acrobatic and showy.

Also see "Aerial Boundaries" or "Ragamuffin" to see more of this grace in action.

Sorry, but this lacks all of the "dance" of the original. No force, no grace, just as sloppy "show piece". The hand cross-overs are meaningless except to make it look harder than it actually is and the fast tapping toward the end is just fast for its own sake.

Hedges was a musician, not a circus freak (OK, maybe he as a pleasant combination of both!). You can always trust Hollywood to ruin a good thing.

of course this is not as good as the original thats why its called cover...people fail to realize when you remake a song or anythinkg ect you make your own style...
