@Galantski Yes I agree. It's tantalizing that there aren't any portraits out there on which we can see what he truly looked like. Most portraits seem to be done by memory of the man.
@bartje11 - Interesting. It doesn't look like the other portraits. A BBC article entitled "Rare Mozart portrait discovered" discusses it. The unlikeness to what we think Mozart looked like seemingly led one scholar quoted to declare, "Needless to say, it will encourage us to think afresh about Mozart's appearance." It looks more like Leopold--or as mentioned, Haydn--than to the wunderkind. If it had been known when "Amadeus" was filmed, Tom Hulce would never have been cast in the title role.
I know this is stupid but it sticks out to me every time I listen to this song.. Does anyone else hear the Inception song? The ominous cellos at :48, then exaggerated at 1:15, I'm almost expecting the single-note bass trombone to come in. I'm not trying to desecrate a masterpiece but I can't be the only one.
this is remarkable Sinfonia indeed and sometimes and really happens the composer compose a works the movement all been like this way and that back to he's mood in that time and sometimes he compose because he can't catch he's own muse! so he was hurry to match that magnificent melodies and wrote in the musik page so simply the artist have wierd stuff you the ordinary poeple can't understand them or see what they look or what they thinking of!!
@italiangrl3343 nah. he was a speedy composer. There is an account wher he was havin fun with his friends and drinking and asked 2 b excused for a while and came back about a couple hours later. and when he was asked wut he was doin he said 'oh i have jus finished the 1st mov of a symphony' .. comes so naturally to him. pure genius!
Wait...isn't that Haydn's picture?

@Galantski No, it's a recently discovered portrait of Mozart (1783 I think) Scholars think that this is probably his most accurate likeness

Probably its best symphony. It reminds a bit of Cosi Fan Tute.

he wrote this in his stage of depression. and this one, symph. no. 40, and 41 came quickly after so it could have possibly been rushed...
