They didn't, they just took the concept to a level never seen before.
Even tough mankind visualized the idea of robots at least since ancient greece the giant robot concept was brought to media in the days the war of the worlds was published but giant humanioid robots appeard fist in SciFi cbooks in 20s to 40s (like the infamous Mechanical Monsters from Superman) and then were brought to life by movie magic in the 50s by the 1963 the 1st japanese mecha was born it was called Tetsujin 28.
No, by Non-anime, he means this was the one used in the arcade game itself. The Dreamcast version has both this, and an all-new intro that's actually cel-animated and everything.
i think it draws inspiration from all the classic giant robot animes.. like grandizer, gai king, star vengers, robotech, neon genesis ect.... cause each of the robots has similarities
Okay i recgonise mecha knock-offs from mazinger, macross, getter robo, and that girl in the pink robot with blonde hair kinda reminds me of g gundam with the whole "mecha that mimics the pilot's movement" thing. pretty funny
Capcom PLEASE Bring this game back! Put it on the PS3 or 360 or something!

If that's non-anime, I'm a monkey.
Phanto5692 2 years ago
What it means is that this is just the normal game intro. There's a true anime one in there too. Animaton and better quality music.
