What he says (in norwegian) is: The guitar has two extra bass strings, so the range is expanded with an octave. He loves to make the "Twin Peaks" sound....Legend says Fender made it for free when they heard it was for Rypdal.

That is true. Fender asked who the buyer is, and when they heard it was for Terje Rypdal,they gave it away for free.. A regular costum shop guitar will cost 4000 - 10000 $, for this guitar it was much more... Jeff Beck is one of Terje Rypdal's fan..
