I believe that President Obama is Catholic and was born in the state of Hawaii. However, even if President Obama is in fact Muslim, what difference would it make? @SuperJiffyMan I'm gonna pull from my studies in theology... the crusades were in RESPONSE to muslims spreading through Europe and attempting to take over Jerusalem which they finally did in the end because the leader of the knights templar (on the field) went against better judgement of troops and got them killed. If that's a small number consider that China has the largest standing army in the world with only 3 million. Think China can do some damage? They dont even have the motivation that extremists have! We have about 1.5 million in active duty. Next is India with 1.32 million. Then North Korea with just under a million including reservists. And rounding out the top 5 is Russia with about 1.5 million.

This resulted in a very high illiteracy rate and blind obedience to an organization. The free thought that you speak of was the protestant reformation. Which the catholic "church" sought to kill leaders of because it was taking away their power.

The reason there was a protestant reformation is because the jesuits were allowed to read the scriptures and Martin Luther found that scripture and what the "church" said were incongruent. Not just by a little, but by a lot. the pope's title is vicarius christi meaning substitute for christ. THAT is not permitted by God nor is it found anywhere in the bible. Making it NOT christian

That doesn't sound like what the Koran teaches does it? Now there are some passages where God wipes out people because of their gross sin. ie Sodom. Notice in this instance that it was God that did it not man.
