The 2006 model R1 is a good bike overall but if you want it to mach the 2011 model R1 or its performanance you seriously need to Rebore the head to first or second over-size and check the valve seating, low end power can be attained by fine tuning the fuel mixture and running-in the engine for 1000kms
Bro I really need your help. i have a 2006 Yamaha R-1 and it always lags at low end. I thought maybe if i bought a powercommander and autotune it could fix problem but i dont wanna waist that money if i need to do something else to fix that problem. Any Ideas?
