If you are interested in this movie and have an opportunity to come to Japan, I recommend you to visit Enoshima! I think this movie modeled there. The tram on 1:01 is Enoden. (Google "江ノ電"!) The lighthouse behind Miku singing must be "江の島灯台". The station Miku got off the tram is either "江ノ島駅" or "鎌倉高校前駅". (I'm not 100% sure with this) Anyway, if you want to feel the same breeze at the same location, visit Enoshima, Japan!

@Sequialtera I recognized at least two voices in this from professional voice actors. Luka's voice also did Belldandy in Ah! My Goddess! and Miku's voice actor has done numerous animes.

The vocals when singing are strictly Vocaloid though.

Like Crypton Future Media (company that created MEIKO, KAITO, Miku, Rin/Len, & Luka) has stated, it would put restraints on the creativity of producers. That said, you can find plenty of stories within songs created with Vocaloid.

It's an opening cutscene to a game.

Also, the Chinese government has banned all outside media.

And it would be super easy to find this "vocaloid anime" because of you know: torrents and fansubs.

Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer software. Not an anime.

And it will never get an anime because the main appeal of Vocaloid is the lack of canon, and it would also be a licensing nightmare due to all the companies.

Luka and Len sound like the voices from Baka and Test. Miku sounds like Vanilla from Yumeiro pattesiere. The voice actors did a good job, but I prefer the vocaloids real voices.
