when i was 12 i shot this, it's not what i expected. i mean this in a good way, i figured "holy crap i dont want to shoot .410 slugs out of a revolver, took my first shoot, it was still pretty good recoil, but not nearly what i expected. i dont think it was a lightweight though so recoil could have been handled better with the heavier gun

Thats the only case I've seen of gun's cutting your hand besides Beretta bite and their both only happen if the weapon is improperly held

A firearm that can fire multiple types of rounds. In concept great idea. In reality, not as much. Taurus I belive is the only one who does this kind of thing, and anyone who knows firearms knows Taurus is a cheapmans gun, not an enthusiasts gun. If you wanna get a 410 and a 45 colt, then buy a 410 and a 45 colt. If you're going to buy a firearm cheap is never the way to go. Im coming up on my 21st in July and when i go to get mine, it's Bereta 96 series for me. .40cal never a 9mm.

Need advice from the experts: I'm a fairly new to deer and dove hunting, currently own a Marlin 270 &Rem.12ga. Ready for my 1st handgun. My rookie noggin's logic tells me this would be a great fun pistol for a novice like me (bullets and shells). @Dj1LL Awesome gun friend ! Not as much recoil as you think but it does pack a punch . I love mine . I have the 3 " magnum version . If you get the 3" barrel version , it is amazingly accurate with a 45 long colt round . If you really want to have fun load it with 000 buckshot in a 3" magnum shell , total devastation . I highly recommend the winchester PDX ammo for defense .

@kearnej .45 Colt round just as effective as any slug in a .410 out of a 2 inch barrel. In .410 I think all you get is 3 buckshot pellets. The slug would be heavier all the way around. The downside to the .410 loads is all the powder will not burn before the shot or slug exits the barrel. This will inhibit velocity whereas with the .45 Colt most of the powder will burn and the velocity will not be impacted as much even with the abbreviated barrel. .410 loads were made for smoothbores.

You are judge jury AND executioner, behind that gun.Simply said it isnt to take down game...unless that game walks on two legs and found its way into the wrong house. Use this for what it's made for....putting a .410 slug center mass in a target that aint supposed to be there.

And when you do hunt them with a pistol, use something other than this gun. I have seen too much bad stuff from the Judge line to recommend it as a defensive gun or a hunting gun. Shooting snakes? maybe....

I have not fired a Judge but I have seen the ballistic tests ... it is not an adequate self-defense firearm ... if you want a recommendation I would suggest a S&W Mod 66 in a caliber you are comfortable shooting ... you can still find used Mod 66s in the $400.00 range
