He's a very nice horse and that sucks that you fell off, but it was pretty much obvious that was going to happen after the corner after the first two jumps..
if your horse does this a lot maybe you should learn emergancie dismounts and bail before he kills you :( and i hope this doesnt totally crush your confidence
This is what happened to me too ! my horse reared to the point of flipping and i bailed and the ground was frozen and landed super hard i thought i broke my back and hip and they had to call the ambulence and got x-rays and stuff like that ! Im glad your okay!!

i fell like this about a month ago and i have a compression fracture in my l3 :/ hopefully i can ride again in April! and yea i thought i was gonna die too, i couldn't breath or move my legs but im fine now! i hope you feel better soon (:

And if you're put through enough stress on a part of your body it's possible to break something else. So stop stalking shit and grow up. This WAS a bad fall and if you look closely you'll see she was thrown very hard, hard enough to bounce off the ground.
@Heckyhoo - Yes, but she was THROWN to the ground very hard to where she bounced, I'm pretty sure you would do the same so shut up and go somewhere else with hating. She's a great rider. I'm sure your not perfect at all in riding.

So what happened to you? Did they find out what hurt your back? I'd imagine you tore some muscle fibers. The only time a horse broke me was when I was on the ground in the stall of my neighbor's crazed gelding, because he couldn't understand why someone had come into his stall without hitting him first. Anyway, this scares the heck out of me... I ride on grass.

I did something like this, but I fractured my back. (I have a spinal deformity though that makes it weaker. :/} Anyways, this looked painful! I'm not so sure a vest would help with this kind of fall though, as it would mostly just protect you from a fall if you were to say- land on your back on the fence or something you bent around. A fall on your tailbone can't be prevented by much. Hope it's better now! (:

The horse was 17.3 hh and she was 10 doing a oxer and so the horse over jumped it and bucked like yours did but she landing on her head breakig her neck and killing him instantly

Ouch! I did that pretty much same fall but I broke my tailbone :/ The docter said I shouldn't ride anymore due to the risk of falling on it hard again and maybe parilizing myself but I can't stop :) Everytime you hit the ground I cringe and I remember the pain
Is you horse an ottb? Yours acts just like mine when I got mine off the track. If he ever got too excited he would try to run and buck, or even after he hit a pole or got in a weird distance he would buck. What helped me is right after the fence you half halt and get them to halt, and basically set them on their butt so they cant buck and also to teach them not to run off like that. It helped a lot and allowed us to finally get up to prelim level without all that shenanigans haha.
Ok just saying I laughed sooo hard when I heard you scream cuz I didn't realize you fell like right on your tailbone. But then I replayed it over and over again and realized that and then every time I watched it after that I cringed every single time...like I could feel the pain in my back...
we've had something like this happen at our barn, exept the fall wasn't a serious and when we asked the rider if she wanted us to call her mom she said, "no call someone more important" hahah it was really funny but it just knocked the eind out so she was ok.

Oh my goodness! I read the description....SOOOO glad you are okay! I had a bad fall this past fall that put me out of riding for 4 weeks....a broken pinky (with a cast) and a broken ankle....not fun at all!!!! Luckily I was wearing my helmet, or it could have been so much worse! But you are a great rider! I saw some of your other videos, and your horsie is adorable! I ride hunters and eq for the most part! And always remember to wear a helmet! They are soooo important!!!!

Oh my word, that looked painful! So glad you're okay! Tragically, a girl at my barn died in a riding accident (she wasn't wearing a helmet and the horse fell on top of her and crushed her skull, and the doctor said she could've had a better chance of living had she worn a helmet), so I know too that safety precautions should be taken seriously! Kudos for putting awareness out there!
i think landing that hard on ur butt like shocked the pain up ur spine... i hate that because then ur entire back hurts like crazy not just more pain in one spot than the other...
You are so lucky you didn't break your back! I hope you;re okay! Was this your horse? Will you be riding him again? Did he always do this or was this a freak thing? Btw, you're a very beautiful rider with excellent equitation! If your horse hadn't have bucked, you handled that long spot so well you wouldn't have fallen. I would have biffed it on such a long spot but you held it together! Your horse is very beautiful and I hope you continue riding him when you're better! :)
@xoToxicJumper Yes it's my horse and I'll be riding him again. He does buck a lot but since I fell he's been in training and they said he hasn't bucked at all. I think my fall might have scared the buck out of him since it was the first time someone had fallen off him haha. And thank you very much!
Glad you were okay. As for the "overreaction" I probably would have done the exact same thing if not worse. And at least you had a possibility of a broken back. My dad once woke up with pain in his right arm, and he went to get it x-rayed just to find out he slept on it wrong.

thats so scary! you should always wear at least a helmet, but vests are important too! my friend once fell off and got run over by her pony and the only reason he didnt hurt/break her back was because she had a vest on.
When I broke my back all I remember is going down to the ground flipping and then laying there. Not a peep, but I could have screamed like you! Im glad you did not break anything since it hurts like... well you know. Hopefully you feel better soon and you can start riding again soon. Its always a tough road but well worth it.

Ouch! I did that pretty much same fall but I broke my tailbone :/ The docter said I shouldn't ride anymore due to the risk of falling on it hard again and maybe parilizing myself but I can't stop :) Everytime you hit the ground I cringe and I remember the pain

Is you horse an ottb? Yours acts just like mine when I got mine off the track. If he ever got too excited he would try to run and buck, or even after he hit a pole or got in a weird distance he would buck. What helped me is right after the fence you half halt and get them to halt, and basically set them on their butt so they cant buck and also to teach them not to run off like that. It helped a lot and allowed us to finally get up to prelim level without all that shenanigans haha.

Ok just saying I laughed sooo hard when I heard you scream cuz I didn't realize you fell like right on your tailbone. But then I replayed it over and over again and realized that and then every time I watched it after that I cringed every single time...like I could feel the pain in my back...

we've had something like this happen at our barn, exept the fall wasn't a serious and when we asked the rider if she wanted us to call her mom she said, "no call someone more important" hahah it was really funny but it just knocked the eind out so she was ok.

OUCHHH! The back thing happened to me too, it wasn't as terrible a fall (I thought it was bad until I saw this...owowowow) I heard a crunch and couldn't move! It's an awful feeling!

Oh my goodness! I read the description....SOOOO glad you are okay! I had a bad fall this past fall that put me out of riding for 4 weeks....a broken pinky (with a cast) and a broken ankle....not fun at all!!!! Luckily I was wearing my helmet, or it could have been so much worse! But you are a great rider! I saw some of your other videos, and your horsie is adorable! I ride hunters and eq for the most part! And always remember to wear a helmet! They are soooo important!!!!

I hurt my back at work and have been out of work/ riding for a month now... They thought I ruptured a disc.. but I'm ok just on rest. and I'm in so much more pain just from watching this! lol.. Glad you're alright! and I know exactly how you feel!

i know how bad that hurts ive fallen bad a couple times like that. im sorry you fell but when u were still sitting up im sure ur back wasnt broken but it probly hurt for several days... agian sorry u fell. u like like ur a good rider.

Oh my word, that looked painful! So glad you're okay! Tragically, a girl at my barn died in a riding accident (she wasn't wearing a helmet and the horse fell on top of her and crushed her skull, and the doctor said she could've had a better chance of living had she worn a helmet), so I know too that safety precautions should be taken seriously! Kudos for putting awareness out there!

You are so lucky you didn't break your back! I hope you;re okay! Was this your horse? Will you be riding him again? Did he always do this or was this a freak thing? Btw, you're a very beautiful rider with excellent equitation! If your horse hadn't have bucked, you handled that long spot so well you wouldn't have fallen. I would have biffed it on such a long spot but you held it together! Your horse is very beautiful and I hope you continue riding him when you're better! :)

@xoToxicJumper Yes it's my horse and I'll be riding him again. He does buck a lot but since I fell he's been in training and they said he hasn't bucked at all. I think my fall might have scared the buck out of him since it was the first time someone had fallen off him haha. And thank you very much!

Glad you were okay. As for the "overreaction" I probably would have done the exact same thing if not worse. And at least you had a possibility of a broken back. My dad once woke up with pain in his right arm, and he went to get it x-rayed just to find out he slept on it wrong.

thats so scary! you should always wear at least a helmet, but vests are important too! my friend once fell off and got run over by her pony and the only reason he didnt hurt/break her back was because she had a vest on.

When I broke my back all I remember is going down to the ground flipping and then laying there. Not a peep, but I could have screamed like you! Im glad you did not break anything since it hurts like... well you know. Hopefully you feel better soon and you can start riding again soon. Its always a tough road but well worth it.
