this is such a great game.

• it has tails who is awesome

• the levels are interesting. each is very different from the last

• AWESOME, AWESOME music

• still very challenging, but if u just want a nice easy fun level there's emerald hill zone or sky chase zone.

ok, can someone please tell me what is it about Sonic 2 that's so great? don't get me wrong I think Sonic 2 is a great game, but what is it about it that people think is the best Sonic game?

For me, it isn't the "best" Sonic game but it comes in a close first place. Honestly? Its one of the first video games I ever played as a child, and to me, and a lot of people, there is a nostalgic feeling behind it.

Sonic 2 not only introduced two player mode for Sonic the hedgehog titles, but it also has Super Sonic for the first time. As well, Tails, and Metal Sonic are introduced in the game.

Having awesome music, and challenging fun levels helps as well...
