@TheKfnff No, they did not. If you don't have the ü-Button on the Keyboard, you use the "ue". In German you can write it both ways. Either with an "ü" or an "ue". In Crosswords, the "ü" is always replaced by the "ue". Same thing with ö and ä. ö -> oe and ä -> ae.
