  • I was upset when Bob Barker left the price is right. To me, Drew Carey does not fit the show.

  • Great Montage devoted to Bob.... awesome that u included some memorable moments with Janice and the fake teeth. also the evolution of announcer voices through the years... from the legendary Johnny O (Johnny Olson) all the way to the current voice of The Price Is Right ... Rich Fields. great video!!

  • i don't think i could have done that for 35 years, almost 7,000 episodes!

  • @bcallahan08 I think I could, if you love it enough and appreciate what the fans love about you and the show, you'd do it. I would do it for free even!!

  • @bcallahan08 add to that being in your 80's

  • seems weird to hear Johnny Olsen say stand up and not "come on down".

  • Final opening in the clip should have been the final episode and the fanfare before the first item up for bids (the television showing, of all things, Bob's FIRST opening on it). That would have been a nice close to this montage. BTW, the sound changes throughout this; that bothered me just a bit, but nice montage regardless!

  • Personally, I think they should've picked Chuck Woolery to host the Price is Right when Bob retired. Of course, no one could ever do it like Bob did it, but Chuck would've been better than Drew!

  • It's sad indeed whenever he appears I get on my knees and bow to him.

  • What a great video, amazing to see how the doors have changed over the years.

  • I got a message for you and Beijing0lympics and/or anyone posting this stuff, and it only takes 3 words for me to say it: CUT IT OUT.

  • Aye!

  • Aye!

  • Powerjohn110's account is closed. If this is the same guy, my guess is he's inheriting this "Bob Barker's dead" stuff from Beijing0lympics (who ALSO is insisting that Bob's dead). I got a newsflash for those who think that Bob is dead: IT IS FALSE.

  • It's okay.

  • Watch your language.

  • in my opion, bob is still young in my eyes. because of this show, i learn how to count my change.

  • in his life time he has left that door 14 000 times

  • I WANT ON YOUTUBE TO READ THIS!!!

Bob barker is not dead he retired from Price is right and he chose Drew Carrey to be the New host rather than Rosie O'donnell

  • Did he have a sweater on at 1:20?

  • someone won $1,000,000.00 on tpir on 3/7/08 today

  • THANK YOU, WIIPLAYER9!!!!

  • Oh Sorry about that, wiiplayer9.

  • And for wiiplayer9, are you calling me a shitmouse or to Powerjohn110, because if it's me, I'm going to struggle your face.

  • On what internet did you saw?!

  • On what segment should I look to prove if Bob Barker is dead or not? If I win, you own me 20 bucks. Come to New York if you live in another state or if you win don't come back to YouTube to comment.

  • Explain to me, Powerjohn110. How Do you know that Bob Barker is dead? Huh, Huh, Huh?!

  • If someone says that Bob Barker's dead, including BeijingOlympics, don't come back to comment in YouTube or I'll kick your fuckin asses so shut the fuck up!!!!

  • Bob barker is not dead and if he was i would be deepressed

  • For all the false Bob Barker death lame jokes I'm convinced he could live forever just to spite all those people.

  • what year was the very first show?

  • 1972

  • @abenjam2 The OAD of the debut Price Is Right ep is September 4, 1972 and was 30 minutes w/4 commercial breaks with the ticket plug in break #2 and the consolation prize plug in break #3. The first IUFB was a Mink Fur Coat as well.

  • I wish GSN would show these again.

  • omgs, i just notices that he's the first host ever to stay with a game show for this long..he must've loved the price is right..also people HE'S NOT DEAD. if he is than he wouldn't be at the cbs daytime show award 2007 so which means he isn't. i think that's what they calls it.

  • Nice Openings!

  • What's that rope on stage at 2:06?

  • It's the short lived hollywood stye rope used in golden road in the late 70s.

  • whos that guy thats sitting at the red podium towards the end of this video as bob goes through the audience

  • happy retirement Bob, we love you. will we ever see him on tv again?

  • The clip where Janice hands Bob the mike while wearing false teeth...classic.

  • Hey GSN93 i have about 20+ tapings of TPIR from 1972-1973 and 1976 on hand if you want to make a bigger video!

  • TPIR won't be the same without Bob.

  • Give me one reason why you think Bob Barker is dead. He isn't dead.

  • Where the hell is it? He was just on TV this week talking about a new spay/neuter law in California, and actually is cool about Drew getting to succeed him. Just please do us all a favor and go away.

  • Why don't you read it to us? Cite a source while you're at it. Or shut up.

  • Dude, I don't know where you get your information, but everyone except you knows that Bob is not dead. Give us one good reason why we should think he's dead.

  • awesome! every price is right fan should watch this vid

  • You can tell the progression of years as the crowd cheers louder at each opening. If you get the chance, I would love to see the final episode intro put on there to make a final tribute.

    Happy Retirement, Bob.

  • BTW: Is it me, or did one of those intros after Rod Roddy sound like Carlos Mencia?

  • That's the horrible (ick) Daniel Rosen. He was one of the tryouts for new announcer after Rod passed away, and before they went with Rich Fields.

  • That was actually Randy West, who was the announcer of Supermarket Sweep's final PAX season.

  • Yes, I'm aware Randy West was a fill-in at the time, but I know his voice, and at 3:01...that is clearly

not him. It's Daniel Rosen, he was among many try-outs for the position, and if I can be frank, HE ABSOLUTLY SUCKED! Thank God he didn't get the gig.

  • omgs rod passed away.how sad.

  • Amazing how different and yet similar it was in 1972. The audience is SILENT during calldowns, but pretty much everything else is exactly like it is now.

  • TD here! Awesome Video!
