  • If Jesus ran for President: Stone gays; re-establish slavery; feed the poor and heal the sick(for free); legalise polygamy; death penalty for sex workers; legalise infanticide for babies upto one 1 month old; open hunting season on non-Christians; lynch oil speculators and wall street. Are you really sure your want this guy influencing politics?

  • If you aren't a believer then just replace 'Jesus' with love and compassion as a concept. That's what I do whenever I hear it. We can't be tolerant of people of faith if we have a bitch fit every time we hear anything pertaining to religion. As long as your faith keeps you in touch with your spirituality and centers you around love and compassion, I don't care what you believe. I would rather a representative speak and share the things that shape their mindset rather than censor themselves.

  • @enjoji So you don't care if people believe in things that are true???

Here's the problem: Say I believe witches are real, and I agree with the Bible verse in Exodus that says I shall not suffer a witch to live. Do you not have a problem with this? You may claim killing a witch is not "loving and compassionate," but isn't it? Think of the people I would be saving from that witch. If I believe this witch is harming people, would I not need to kill the witch out of compassion for his/her victims?

  • @enjoji Another problem I have is this straw man argument you make talking about "censorship." No, it's the things that shape her mindset that IS the problem. Her caring about what Jesus supposedly said or even caring that much about what is in a book written 1900 years ago IS the problem.

  • Term limits is a tricky issue. Keep them and you can lose good leaders. Don't have them and horrible and corrupt people can stay forever. Even with them, you can just swap idiots for idiots and get no where. The real answer is become our own leaders. In the 21 century, the information age, more connected than ever, why do we need babysitters to represent us. We have no excuse anymore. We need to be more active and less passive about how the nation finds its leaders. We can represent ourselves.

  • Haha Jesus was a very smart answer. If you think about how Republican candidates tote Christian morals as a banner to get votes yet support and pass policies that, whether Jesus is real or not, are definitely against the cannon teaching of compassion found in his message. It's really damning to have someone from the opposite party to name drop Jesus in the way she did in this video. She is very bright and a great speaker as I have seen from these war room videos thus far. ^_^

  • Getting rid of the electoral college would be the stupidest move ever in this country. Do a little reasearch on the matter, it empowers the voters, enables a fair race, and prevents mob rule.

  • Although religion is surely the republican's largest hypocrisy, using imaginary sky daddy arguments on Current TV is disappointing. Solutions to real problems are found within reality.

  • @ofpfury you make it difficult to be an atheist

  • Jennifer i think you need to look up the philosopher Stefan Molyneux and have a chat with him once, or just look at a few of his videos to get some perspective, i think it would be very helpful for your own self evolution. You seem like one of the few politicians that means well....

Will be interesting to watch your new show, good luck

  • Go back to Canada Jen.....thanks for messing up Michigan. You should be tried for treason.

  • Jesus would send you all you filthy politicians straight to hell. Unfortunately he doesn't exist

  • honey!! you ruined michigan forever!! shame on you and your party

  • @bozkurt83 I think the f-tard fascist you have in office tight now is doing far far worse than Granholm.

  • @timmmahhhh It doesn't matter who is in charge. Its "GAME OVER" for Michigan.

  • @bozkurt83 Yeah, you may very well be right there.

  • Ms Granholm, do you have a youtube channel?

  • Ummm... Jesus? We have a secular fucking government! Who gives a shit what Jesus thinks? Seriously! I'd rather you speak to Mark Twain than Jesus.

  • @BusinessIDBAI Unfortunately the people in this country are so stupid on religion you have to talk in terms most of them can relate. Think of Jesus as a metaphor she has to use to get through to get to these people.

  • @timmmahhhh

Yeah, I understand why she said what she said. But fuck, its saying shit like that which leaves the underlying problem unattended.

And I know, I'd love to talk to Mark Twain. LoL

  • @BusinessIDBAI The other thing to understand about Michigan - I lived in NW Indnana near SW Michigan for 13 years. SW Michigan proves that you don't have to live in the deep south to find a really socially backward area. I can't speak for the rest of the state but from what I've seen the rest of the state is mot much better off.

Jennifer Granholm, a Michigan Yankee in Al Gore's Court. :)

  • @BusinessIDBAI ...and Mark Twain is an EXCELLENT choice!!!

  • I'd want to interview the honey badger, 'cuz he wouldn't give a shit.

  • Jesus stole my gold.

  • what an idiot

  • I don't like this woman. She comes off as fake and insincere in here mannerisms. Maybe stupid people will lap up what she says, but I really think this is all an act. She starts off complimenting the person who asks a question saying that is "such a great idea". Oh please. And the whole thing about interviewing Jesus... need I even explain?

  • i was with her until she brought up Jesus... no

  • ...and nobody would like to interview jesus' daddy? the gay hatin, mass murderin real life (if he exists at all) version of hannibal lecter

  • biggest con artist? nah, you're thinking moses, who , by the way, was also a sorceror.

  • Looking forward to the new show.

  • Jesus...? Jesus was the biggest con artist in the history of humanity.

  • @CHARG3R I think meeting some horrible Christian people made you say this... Hope you meet some good ones... heck, hope u and I meet HIM!

  • @CHARG3R no, the person/people who invented him are

  • @CHARG3R Jesus...? Jesus is the greatest person in the history of humanity.

  • @publicatdamagnificen

Really? So, you can conclusively demonstrate that he exists, said what he's attributed to say and did what he's attributed to do?

  • @CHARG3R No, those would be the fanatics and con artists that ignore everything Christ said.

  • @CHARG3R Jesus would be a liberal, there's no doubt about that.

  • @CHARG3R whoa, i wouldnt go there, jesus not the much, but Christianity and the purveyors of the institutions collectively are maybe a con...theyre not consciously deceiving people-some are-the nature of the religious structure though is to deceive-deception is its main mode of survival..so its not the people individually but them taken together in their support for the institution...kinda like how slavery was, there could be magnanimous slave owners- but slavery in itself was immoral..

  • @CHARG3R It wasn't Jesus, it was his followers like Paul and Peter. They were the ones that twisted is words and turned him into a God.

  • I can hear the cameraman breath through his nose. lol 1:44

  • She acts like the auto industry has got back on its feet and ohhh,I'm forgetting some thing.Yes,I remember now. They borrowed billions and if you look at the real numbers you see that less than 10 percent[way less]has been paid back and our almighty government has no real idea how much they owe, that we will never get back.As for Jesus I think that he would kick our ass, hard up to his kneecap because we have let the rich walk away without paying any taxes for more than a decade.

  • GM and Chrysler are the last part of the US manufacturing industry.. all of the rest of the US manufacturing has been exported to take advantage of slave labor wages and to destroy the US labor movement which is the only opposition to corporate power..as we have seen in the last few decades with the decline of the labor movement resulted in destruction of the middle class and the growth of the corporate state

  • Changing term limits won't do anything as long as a political seat is a gold mine. Serving in Congress should be an honor! Money destroys that honor.

  • Is it weird that I kind of have a "thing" for Granholm? Is that creepy?

  • @Theycallmetomu Nope. :-) She's brilliant and beautiful. What's not to like? :-D

  • Great conversation. I really appreciate your open, honest and intelligent conversational style. I think you did a great job holding your own and providing expertise with the Turks last week even though Cenk can get a bit overbearing sometimes. I really look forward to more content from you.

  • No term limits? Really? Fuck you. I'm not a fan of dictatorships.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri

Its not a dictatorship. People vote for the person so it is still democracy. Its just that the number of times people can vote for a person is not limited. In dictatorships people do not have that option. I actually think its a good idea. I would have much preferred Bill Clinton over Bush.

  • @HDaviator You cannot give someone indefinite terms of power. That's the most retarded thing I have ever heard and lifetime appointments for the Supreme court is ALSO retarded. Senile out of touch old farts living in a bubble of privilege are NOT good for following generations. 20 years would be FAR more than enough.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri Term limits wouldn't work in business so why should we have them in politics? Should a business promote newbies instead of well-qualified workers b/c there are term limits? I'd rather a seasoned politician lead important committees in gov. then newly elected freshmen who don't know what they're doing. If corruption is what your worried about term limits won't solve that. You need people and not special interests paying for campaigns to do that.

  • @MassLiberal1 I would rather have a shooting war with you than allow you a dictatorship.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri Dictatorship, lol. Because America is so much like North Korea w/o term limits. Here's a radical idea for politicians you don't like: vote them out. Fucking strange for a dictatorship to allow themselves to be voted out but it must be apart of their conspiracy.

  • @MassLiberal1 You can't vote them out if they don't have a term limit, moron.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri Yes you can, it's called voting for the other candidate(s). They can't take office if they lose their election.

  • @MassLiberal1 Look up the definition of a "term limit".

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri You're not very bright...

  • @NewYorkCityUSA7 Funny, I was thinking the same thing about you.

  • @MassLiberal1 At the rate things are going, what makes you think we're going to have fair elections for much longer?

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri Our checks and balances system keeps us from being ruled under a dictator.

  • @csjbo1990 Not anymore.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri Dictatorships? Puh-leese. I totally agree with her on term limits - her current stance. Why take out people that know what they are doing IF they are doing a good job and representing the people? If you actually listened to what she said I have to question if you're a fan of anarchy? The teatards show how fucked up things get when ignorant rubes are in govt., granted these people are merely there to fuck things up in the first place.

  • @timmmahhhh You can't grant people unlimited power. Its an instant ticket to corruption.
