  • Good on you for giving it a try mate. Don't worry about what everyone else has said.

Great color too. Its very important to have a solid sealed base coat before you apply Kandy colors as they are a translucent paint and rely on what is underneath the color to give the desired effect... Keep it up mate, you'll nail it soon...

  • hey man, which kandy blue is this? that color is awesome!!!

  • Looks like Shit. Take House of Kolor out of your title, your making them look bad.

  • aye my was the same candy ,but on a regal 87 it was called CANDY ORIENTAL BLUE by HOUSE OF COLOR.

  • sotry mate this is one of the worst candy jobs ever, it looks very patchy looks like you have gone in the same direction with the gun bit of free advice for you if your struggling to get an even finish try going in opposite direction to the previous coat also you will need to put about nine coats of candy then a few coats of clear hope this helps you

  • That shit is ugly, what a shit paint job homie! Maaco does better completes then that! Straight back yard paint job!

  • what colour is it?

    isn't candy with blue?

i wish to paint my car to this colour..

may i know what tools should i need to paint this job?

also the paint how to mix them?

  • nice color, but ugly car. still, good job with the paint job haha ima paint my caddy candy cobalt blue just like that =)

  • What a waste of paint..

  • Kandy has its problems involved. Mine came out ok, has its flaws but nice color thoe. Take a look at my Honda Passport in my videos.

  • man thats alot of money to fuck up lol. best of luck for next time. you use KK KBC or UK?

  • my first paint job was silver it came out great cept our teacher let some dumbass spray the clear with us he kept stopping under the mirrors for some ungodly reason but it really helps 2 have someone that really knows what theyre doing around 2 tell u what 2 do the first few cars i mean i can paint as good as anyone and i droped outta high school really caring and trying is whats gonna make a diff in the end ... and knowin the basics

  • Looks good for the first time. you really didn't pick an easy project to start on but anyway #$%^ happens. I paint car in a ghetto car port with plastic for walls. the last car I painted we painted the quarter panel 5 times cause of the reaction from the metal. just suk it up and try again

  • Looks good for your first time. Don't get discouraged. Go get you a fender off another car and practice on it before tryin yours. Is that Majestic blue? If so, they don't make that mess anymore... Also, try a HOK FBC01 (solar gold base) with blue over it and take it out in the sun ;)

  • It takes time, you are gonna screw up but you can't get any better if you don't believe in yourself

  • i know how frustrating painting can be. my short story, i was picked off the street by a local body shop that needed a painter. turns out im a natural and its now been over 500 cars later and still painting. i can see your mess ups, make sure your booth has lots of light. got to see what your doing to get those good paint jobs. dont give up, im pretty sure your going to catch on and do good. i had my fair share of mess ups my self when first starting.

  • wut color is that oriental or wut hit me up..

  • I'm a self taught painter and my first job was terrible. But I just didn't give up and now I can actually paint pretty good. I'm doing a flame job on a golf cart right now and I'm impressing myself. I have teach myself how to pinstripe with a brush for this job. Yikes!

  • make sure u mask the tires next time

  • id prolly reccomend keeping the air pressure up and keeping the pearl mixed in the cup lol guy needs 2 learn how 2 paint lol

  • bro get jon kosmoski.. house of kolor Dvd theres a couple on candy colors... and stick to what he says... preparation is everything, the space for painting, equipment, your sanding... skipping steps or rushing will lead to mistakes and loss of time money and effort.. but that is a nice color you chose

  • This is probly one of the worst experiences of my life. Really hard paint job, too small of a garage, something falls off the wall and into the paint, have to redo the entire outside, now some swirls from sanding show through because the kandy and the base are so thin. Everything went wrong and i probly have 75+ hours in this car and now i will be doing it again out of my own pocket. yeah!

Then get a paint shop to do it for you....you build have someone else paint it.

  • na, i'm in the process of building a big booth in the backyard. I'll do it again and do it right- live and learn

  • What did you do wrong ?? I can tell its messed up but what was your errors because I will be doing my first cand job and I dont wanna fuck my car up. I see you said your base and candy was too thin. How many coats you applied man ?? Let me know bro....
