I got this done in South Florida almost a month ago and it it still on and looks just as great as the day I got it done except for the new growth of course. I REALLY need to find a place that offers this in NY. But they have to do it right, if they don't do it properly shellac can peel right off of your nail.
I am going to have my nails done in a couple of days for the first time; is the UV safe???? Thanks, I'm soooo excited about this.... :) Annmarie from Michigan
my mom bought this stuff to use for herself, and the first two times i used it it peeled off within 5 days. We figured out that i was putting it on too thick, so the third time i used it i put it on waaay thinner and it stayed for about 12 days. Its better than any nail polish ive ever used before, and the shine is AMAZING.
I love Shellac! I bowl in a league twice a week and my nails always look great!! No chipping. I'm also convinced that Shellac makes my nails stronger. I find that I can grow my nails long and they are not breaking when I bowl...that's amazing!
This product is fantastic!! The startup costs are high because the polish is expensive but it's worth it! Rather than use the expensive remover wraps, try saturating cotton and wrap nail in a piece of foil.
wierd..last time i got shellac the UV thing was only 30 secs each time...takes about 30 minutes total to get my nails done and my shellac nails lasted me 1 month almost, and it was only 30 secs under the UV. 30 secs per coat, so total about 10-15 minutes per hand.
The people in this video are so fake. It does not take all that extra stuff to sell an already great product lmao... that acting is terrible. Shellac is awesome. I'm a nail technician and I love the entire process from beginning to end. It's expensive but it's well worth your money.
I think it works for a lot of people, but it doesnt work for me. It has been my 4th day with my shellac on and its starting to peel up on one of my nails. The peeling is really annoying and I have to be careful so it wont come off. I have very thin, easily breakable nails.
@LiveLaughLove6521 I have brittle thin nails and it really does work. If your shellac is peeling then your nail technician is not doing it properly. If shellac touches the cuticle it will peel after a few days. I've also learnt form experience that sometimes nail salons use other gels,base/ top coats and claim it is shellac. Also Shellac IS NOT supposed to be applied to nail tips If Shellac is applied properly it will not peel, chip, smudge no matter you do or what condition your nails are in.
The OPI Axxium is much more better than the Shellac. The colors are decieving, they look NOTHING like they do on the bottle and the axxium lasts longer. Nail salons like the Shellac because it's cheaper than the Axxium and they can make much more money off of it.
@willbscene360 My mom is a professional nail tech, so i know what i'm talking about. It's the same concept, just BASICALLY a different brand. Plus, this is waaay too overadvertised.
@LinaisaRonster Hey, your mom's a professional nail tech, can she answer my question please! When you have shellac nail on, do they put tips on before applying the nail color or is it applied straight on to natural nails? thank you x
@frankietommoo100 some nail salons will put tips on, But we don't. We just polish the gel onto your actual/real nail. One of the main reasons of the axxium/shellac is popular is for people who are tired of acrylic and want something a little more healthier. So i don't see why any other salon would use tips. haha :D
@OliviaISNaff Hey my name is Olivia too! :) I am just like you and I decided to get shellac done on tuesday (4 days ago) and honestly seeing your nails look so shiny and healthy everyday helps distract you from seeing the same color. I paint my nails 4-5 times a week and I'm always trying new designs :) BUT I LOVE SHELLAC! They are so pretty and shiny! :D I say you should go for it! Good Luck!
Cure the basecoat for 10secs, each colour layer for 2mins and then the final top coat for 2mins. They will still feel tacky or wet after but then you must wipe each nail with a cotton pad with 99% Isopropyl alcohol which removes this sticky layer after you have cured the final top coat layer under your UV lamp. If they are still sticky after wiping with the Isopropyl alcohol check that the bulbs in the UV are powerful enough...think mine is 4x9watt = 36watts. Hope this helps :0)
i would LOVE to get this. Chip free color, and shininess that can't be beat. I just enjoy doing my nails too much. I do them 4-5 times a week and always experiment with different designs. 2 weeks of the same color would drive me nuts.
dude i put on nails polish and...only ppl who have problems with it....doesnt even know how to do nails.....u put on base coat color then top coat....i do that my nails last for more than 14 days...
I am a registered nurse and I don't think this will last me 2 weeks!!! Please!! There is no polish that won't chip for 14 days!! If so then what kind of work do u do if any at all!!
And then you have to buy removing pads that's ridiculous by the time you purchase 1 polish and the pads your paying like 20 bucks, very stupid. You can just buy a regular polish and touch it up,it's not rocket science
Bio sculpture is better. I'm an esthetician and I only use the Bio sculpture. I have clients that have it last 3 weeks sometime 4. the longest was 7 weeks. On top of this, there is no soaking in acetone. we use a more gentler solution and put your hand in a heated mitt. The heat activate the gel to melt off. So much better for the nails. My opinion.
I am getting shellac done tomorrow at the spa. Can't wait to try it with my mom and sister. It's so shiney on people wearing it it's beautiful. I really want it. No chips for over like a month amazing !!
Haven't used this brand, but have gotten a pedicure with uv polish and it lasted over a month! All I did was fill in the growth with the same colour in regular polish.
Is there a way to use Shellac and still have the look of clear nail polish? Can I use the basecoat and then the top coat together without adding a color in between them?
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY! I AM A MAKEUP ARTIST SO CLIENTS ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO MY CLEAN HANDS AND HAVING A BEAUTIFUL MANI IT'S JUST FAB! The price may not be for everyone, but there are other options if you just want beautiful manicured hands ;-)
It sounds cool, but all the chicks at the start were complaining about their own stupidity...
It's only a waste when you pay $25 for your nails to be done and then are stupid enough to not remember that your nails aren't dry a minute after you leave the salon. And that's YOUR fault.
It looks great but the only problem is the smallish colour range, it would be nice if every colour came in Shellac. There's not a lot of new colours in this range. Maybe one day all nail polish will use this formula.
i'm a beauty therapist, and recently started providing shellac for clients and i LOVE IT. It's amazing! and christine, most nail polish removers contain acetone, so not that bad! xx
my toes lasted for over 2 months. the only reason I chanaged they polish was causeit had a huge grow out. I use a base coat and top coat re apply the coat every week ad it will last!
I am as well had this done 2 weeks ago: I cleaned. I cooked, whashed the dishes, and my nails looks like i just got my manicure!!! It's simply AMAZING!
Also I like Shellac advertizment . Why some people have to trash everything around?
its not fake. I am a massage therapist/Nail Tech and I can't have long nails, so I get shellac and I love it, last 14 days, and you have to use the shellac color before you put the top coat on or else it won't work or last. it doesn't take as long as it does the other nail polishes, plus when you are done you can do whatever you want and don't have to worry about if you smudged or smeared it. Also you can put it on top of Fiberglass and acrylics. It lasts a little longer to. I love it!
@RockinThaSoLows No, you would have to use the shellac colour underneath, but if you wanted it to look like a clear polish, the french pink in the range goes on like a clear, with just a small pinkness too it :) shellac is amazing!
acetone!! they just dont use a bown and you can make shift that particular removal techniwue by using a cotton pad and tin foil (see vid called 'how i remove my acrylic nails' by myglitternails)
what a loada bollocks!! I hate excentrics!! those women who modelled the product are sooo annoying!!
lmao!! ''thee isnt another product like it on the market''....?!?!? 0.o
its called nsi pro polish, gel-it and gelac (not sure of the brands)
#cough# #cough#... excuse me but im allergict to bull shit!
lmfao!! this is so stupid!! 'my polish gets fooked after a few hours'?!? ITS CALLED A UV TOP COAT!! SAME AS THIS STUFF, BRUSH ON GEL THAT DOESNT CHIP OR SMUDGE AND ITS ALOT FOOKING CHEAPER!!
thish stuff is so over apreciated its unbileavable!! the NSI pro polish was out before this stuff AND its cheaper AAAAND li can last up to 21 days!! AAAND THEY HAVE MANY MORE NICER COLOURS!!!
this is bollocks! there IS a drying time as they need to be cured. and the stuff they solk the pad things in IS
I got my first shellac manicure 8 days ago. It still looks great! As someone who has always had horrible luck with ruined manicures within 12 hours, this is amazing for me. I love it!
I just got Shellac a week ago if you want a real persons point of view!.. Just a girl lookin out! btw I LOVE IT!!! Miracle product... I'm waiting for the catch... ;)
@Hatinonthehaters You can't get rid of the glossy color. The point of the shellac is the staying power and the gloss/shine for 2 weeks. Hope that helps.
Wth? Id much rather prefer going to a salon!! Who knows what can happen to your nail, plus it always feels better feeling pampered :D money will always come back
All of this can be done at home ppl!! I use the shellac system at home and have gorgeous nails at no where near the salon price. Def worth the investment. btw, don't get fooled into having to use the official CND UV lamp, any quality UV lamp will work :)
Michelle - I stumbled onto this video a few minutes ago while on your FBook page.
I've been in the advetising agency and internet marketing business for 35 years. I've made 100's of cmmercilas with lotsof celebrities. But, nothing works as well as toughtful, fault-free product demonstration. That's just what this Shellac product spot does.
It's FABULOUS. I've just had my nails done this afternoon, once finished rumaged in my hand bag for wallet, keys, drove the car, no smudges.....I live in New Zealand and it costed $50 dollars, 2 weeks of polished nails, no breaks, chips, smudging off is well worth it...I've always done my own nails at home, and regardless of cheaper cost, it always comes off, smudges, chips within a few days...I will continue to pay for it, it's worth the investment!!!
It sucks that I can't buy these nail polishes anywhere, but I tried on ebay, and ends up you can buy them there! it's so awesome, I can't wait to try it out :P
That sucks that you have to keep on going to a salon instead of doing it a your own home....geeezzzzzzz! You have to pay $40 every time you go get it done...no way!
this product is great! I have used it before. The thing that makes this different from other "gel" products is that you dont have to buff your nail as prep work to get it to stay on. This paints on like a polish and is as thin as a polish, no thick damaged nails. Also for those who are wondering, you have to have a license to buy it. Also, you must have a UV light (you don't need theirs, but a decent one). They just need more colors.
ADORO EL SHELLAC , ES BELLISIMO SISTEMA, FACIL, RAPIDO, MIS CLIENTAS LES ENCANTA PERO AQUI EN MIAMI NO HAY EN STOCK, NO SE CONSIGUE. QUE ES LO QUE PASA????
I realy love that, so...I live in Brazil and I want to know how can I get this...please help me,sand to me, just say what I have do...PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Products at sallys are not considered professional nail products that is why you dont have to a liciense to buy it. The best products and professional are only available at fine salons. Beauty products which are considered best quality are not sold to public and not backed unless sold also including applied by professionals.
I Absolutely LOVE IT ! I have been using Shellac on my clients and they are amazed and excited about it. I have gotten positive feedback from my clients.
Mine only lasted a week : ( I didn't think I was harder on my nails then most people. I'm an esthetician and wanted to try it before using it on clients. My right hand and left thumb are all chipped. Hmm. I'm following protocol from cnd. Darn.
@TheViperAndTheFox Are you a licensed nail technician? I'm not trying to pitch anything.I don't have to because I'm not selling it,I'm just talking about the professional aspect of it.
I have been using the Shellac at my salon and my clients love, love, love it. They are so excited wen they walk out. I put it on my toes three weeks ago and they are still going strong and very shiny. I'm in Corona Del Mar Calif. at Salon Papillon, come see me and you will walk out a new person.
so...its just...one color... no cute designs?

I got my keys out of my purse immediately. The girl had to tell me it's okay, it's dry. And not a scratch on my nails!!

fake
maggieskuba21 11 months ago
its not fake. I love it!
baldyswoman 11 months ago
so, could i get a pretty regular nailpolish color and just put the shellac top coat on it?...
RockinThaSoLows 11 months ago
@RockinThaSoLows No, you would have to use the shellac colour underneath, but if you wanted it to look like a clear polish, the french pink in the range goes on like a clear, with just a small pinkness too it :) shellac is amazing!
vivalabecky1 10 months ago
acetone!! they just dont use a bown and you can make shift that particular removal techniwue by using a cotton pad and tin foil (see vid called 'how i remove my acrylic nails' by myglitternails)

lmfao!! this is so stupid!!

I love it!

my girlfriend wants to know HOW TO GET RID OF THE GLOSS?????? PLEASE HELP
Hatinonthehaters 1 year ago
@Hatinonthehaters You can't get rid of the glossy color. The point of the shellac is the staying power and the gloss/shine for 2 weeks. Hope that helps.

This is a real winner ... congrats.

Where can I buy them in New York (Manhattan)?
Thanks
zoraidayaya 1 year ago
If u buy it off of amazon then u are not professional. U will be buying it at a higher price than professionals.
And u will not be insured to offer a professional treatment.
So if are a customer who wants a professional treatment by a qualified nail technician then this treatment is salon only available.

No its NOT! You can order the entire system on amazon!

Looks like a great product!
BTW, does anyone know the name of the colour to the right of centre (the maroon)?
Thanks! :)
chloehandbags 1 year ago
this product is great!

Products at sallys are not considered professional nail products that is why you dont have to a liciense to buy it. The best products and professional are only available at fine salons. Beauty products which are considered best quality are not sold to public and not backed unless sold also including applied by professionals.

Mine only lasted a week : ( I didn't think I was harder on my nails then most people. I'm an esthetician and wanted to try it before using it on clients. My right hand and left thumb are all chipped. Hmm. I'm following protocol from cnd. Darn.
