Tatiana Lysenko - 1992 Olympics AA - Floor Exercise

It always seemed like she was unsure of where she was at in the double layout. She should have stuck with her arabian double front first pass. She stuck that thing 9 out of 10 times. Twice, did I see her land that double layout nice. I love Tatiana Lysenko.

She has HUGE hurdles on all her round offs (including vault and beam).

that's if you fall. out of bounds is only .1

that rule is true in the current code! back then, out was out, stepped or landed.. .1 deduction

Um, not it does not. At the time, it was only 0.10 P. whether you went out with one or two feet or landed out.

Currently, if you land out it is a -0.50 P. deduction, where as a fall is -1.0 P.

That double layout always caused her problems. I think she was mental on floor in major competitions. Too bad because she was a great gymnast on all four events.

i agree. her floor routines always scored lower than her other events. i think she should have kept the arabian double front first pass. it was different and she returned to using that mount at the 93 worlds.
