@kinggerick Nahh mase was sick with the rappin, very underrated. He was mentored by biggie and he could've been the next "Biggie" if he didn't stop rapping. His first two albums was crazy.
Who's music is this? Nile Rogers , he produced this track. Nile Rogers CREATED the music, Bowie hired him to produce his LP and it was a HIT! I hear it put Bowie back on the map! Such a biggie that the then MaDonna hot off her debut LP wanted a career chart topper and knew of Rogers' work during his legendary yes LEGENDARY run in the 70's, notably the group Chic. She wanted to work with him, he agreed, she was happy and they made history, Like A Virgin..
My brother used to listen to Puff Daddy in middle school. I love Bowie and I never made the connection that this was used in a Puff Daddy song played all the time by my brother back in 97. Then one day my roommate played the song and I got flashback. It's funny because sometimes lines of this song get stuck in my head but I never bothered to look it up.
this is a great track and i know everyone's all nostalgic about this, but really this is pop rap. it's definitely not "real hip-hop" puffy was pretty much the pioneer of the soulless materialistic rap scene we have today. that said, the bad boy family put out music that has stood the test of time and I don't think we can say that about today's future swag twitter garbage.
I was born in '88 this was the first cassette I ever bought I can't remember how I started liking rap but I never looked back and this is definitely my first connection that I can really pinpoint to rap.
Bought this album when I was 9 years old I remember it was a cassette too. I remember it being summer when it came out and I would play it in the stereo all summer long. This album officially started my life long respect for 90s (and other quality rap before and after) hip hop.
if your listening to this that means your a fan of good music so i suggest you take time out and check out our channel my team and i are just tryna offer the game meaningful lyrics and clever wordplay so check us out and if you like what u hear make sure to SUB! were not tryna annoy/spam just get heard and get things accomplished thank you in advance!

The only reason you think all the rap today sucks is because you listen to the mainstream shit. Gotta find the underground less known rappers. Now thats the real shit.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:16-17) Jesus said: "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." (Matthew 10:22)

Your age doesn't grant you license to redefine terms! Old school rap ended in the early 90's. Busta Rhymes rolled w/ a posse who called themselves Leaders of the New (School). Saying it's Old School because it's old to you, is like calling a 80's Z28 a "Classic car". Car enthusiasts have a true meaning to a word/phrase. Music fans, or rap fans do too. Certain words have collective meanings. Old school rap is 80's til Wu Tang Clan dropped some wicked new beats and turned it into hip hop.
this is the nicest beat ever, you have to give respect to the original , which is one of Bowies best songs(from his 80s era anyway).Bad Boy did well with this one, some words of advice, smoking endo to this song is absolutely crazy, in fact smoking to this album is topps...

Wow memories is right. I was only 8 when this cd came out, and I got it for Christmas that year with a boombox. It was literally my first cd(I grew up listening to my dad's cds and my baby sitter at the time got me and my best friend really into rap but I only listened to her cds). My aunt bought it for me. Thinking back, I still can't believe my parents let her give it to me haha.
david bowies shits on this version as its the original. i reackon puffy daddy sat down and thought who beat could i use with respect to the legend. he choose david. i love my 90's rap but i can say david bowie was the artist that mademe produce music only because the way he has approached every ablum throughtout the years . DAVID BOWIE IS A LEGEND. one day ill mix one of hisbeats

david bowies shits on this version as its the original. i reackon puffy daddy sat down and thought who beat could i use with respect to the legend. he choose david. i love my 90's rap but i can say david bowie was the artist that mademe produce music only because the way he has approached every ablum throughtout the years . DAVID BOWIE IS A LEGEND. one day ill mix one of hisbeats
