  • I have the Solano 1000 its big and i love it

  • OMG what a noise! or u living in a turbine?

  • Overkill power supply, even for crossfirex.

  • Do you have the case fans on max speed settings or is that the CPU cooler because from what I have read that Zalman CNPS9700 is one of the top performing and quietest coolers out on the market.

  • it's noisy

  • haha I have a 9800GTX+ and Intel Genuine X2 DDR2 RAM I use cheap shit but still can run Black Ops AND Crysis 2 haha

  • make som noise

  • vista.. lol

  • Very loud computer

  • your pc is cool men

  • You sound like Seth Rogen.

  • JESUS!!! that thing is loud!!!

  • hey, quicl quesiton,

i have this mobo, and im using the extra copper clamps on the RAM, im seeing this in your vid,

    but:

    a) whats that black thing over it? more cooling?

and B) what is that CPU cooler? is it any good/does it fit with the RAm copper clamps? etc im looking to upgrade my rig

    cheers!

  • @thepissflap

Those are actually part of the RAM itself. Its their heat tube design or whatever they call it. The black i believe is some extra metal for heat dissipation. ie heat sink.

The CPU cooler is the Zalman CNPS9700. It has worked fine for me and was one of the better ones when I got it. I am sure there are much better ones out on the market now. I haven't looked as much since i got this one built. The cooler and RAM all fit perfectly fine on this motherboard together.

  • @thepissflap Cont.

Check on newegg. That is where I got most of my parts. A lot of good reviews and info on there.

  • @Emc1683 thanks bud.

    i'll check it out.

i still have the stock cooler on my phenom, its getting pretty hot.. just trying to prolong its lifespan :s

    heh

  • sounds like an aircraft :D

  • and what do u play? "css".. >-<

  • @ShiggZter No, never played actually. Got Black Ops when it came out and been playing that mainly. Usually just stuff from the COD line of games.

  • Hi!

If I remove the hard drive cases, will the fan that is attached to it release and there for give the opportunity to one have the fans ''installed'' without have the ''x''-hard drive cases inside?

    Thanks in advance

    /Mathias921

  • @milodaman2 dude ill be running a 1.2kw it gives you room to upgrade and add parts- plus you can keep them forever lol

  • What the hell was that incessant skimming noise. It sounded like your fan was hitting the metal fins of your heatsink. Remind me to never buy a zalman.

  • does this case have a power/hdd activity led light in the front? I have a dell 530 and I have upgraded everything in that pc(cpu, memory, hdd, psu, video card) and I need a much bigger case with much better airflow, everyone loves the antec twelve hundred case and I want to buy one. I just wanted to know about the front lights, thanks

  • @LBGreenthumb No power LED but there is a HDD LED.

  • @Emc1683 good, thats all I need, thanks for fast response

  • @LBGreenthumb w8 u need a !ANOTHER! led to see if its powered on??

  • @561inurface no, I was just asking.

  • @milodaman2 psshh ive seen even more

  • OMG VISTA!!! RUN AWAY!!!

  • @AnimeGuy007 Yeah, just got Win7 64 going on it. Much better.

  • @Emc1683 64-bit is the only way to go =)

  • @AnimeGuy007 the windows vista its very hard for RAM with all updates and the service pack 3 the windows is very good its like the windows loghorn server 2007

  • have you drilled some where? :) BTW, nice rig, why do you not recording from another angle? :) Have you put all your cables at the right side and then record just so you see the left side so you cant see them? :)

  • overkill psu for your system 500 w is enough

  • @pleite567 Nah, worked just fine thus far. Thanks though.

  • Looks nice!! but were is your Memory Heat pipe at?

  • this case is bullshit for video cards, just barely fits a 4870

a 5870, is probly going to be touching hard drive bays.

not as roomy as the 900

  • nice build

  • THE SOUNDS OF KACE LIKES PLAYNE VERY NICE

  • how is the temp on your power supply? i was thinking about getting this case but there is no ventilation on the bottom.

  • it sucks

  • I really like the way that fan looks :P But I'ma go with liquid cooling.

  • 1000watts O_O

  • watch out for that power suply mine blew up !!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh really did it?

i need a power supply i have a 8800 gts and wanted to sli it but dont know to get a new video card and a good power supply.. cuz the 8800 gts 92 version still runs very good and if i do sli will do better

what can u recommend me ?

  • well I would go the cross fire way and get the radeon 5870.

I have a rosewell 850 watt power suply that runs great but its not modular.

if you want a modular power suply i would go with XFX 850 W Modular Power Supply

  • i have a rosewill 850w power suply but its not modular. if you want a modular power suply i would go with a --------------

XFX 850 W Modular Power Supply

also i would go with a radeon 5870 instead of nividia.

  • @X2N18

    Get a HD5xxx

  • look at my Rig on my Channel I ordered the parts already

  • Nice! Looks like it will be a bad ass setup.

  • no dont get the two 5970's you get more performance out of 4 5870's

  • what speed are you runing the fans at? i have a abtec 1200 case and the cpu runs at 21c with fans on low

  • what the noisy fan in that system?? it sounds like the graphics card?

fantastic system though, i'm thinking of buying one myself

    5/5

  • nice dude i have same case and cpu cooler i recently got new video card asus 5870 its bad ass

  • @Gerlang09 does the 5870 fit alright ?

  • @Lepsche95 yes i also have a fan in it and it will fit fine no problems

  • watch my system my first system xDD

  • is it for sale ?

  • No, not currently.

  • @SuperSSA if you are looking for a pc i could build one for you :)

  • nice rig man,i recently got the 902 from Antec and had to return it cuz the front audio had a lot of hiss, was unacceptable cuz i use my mic and headphones a lot,i google the problem and this cases have that problem the audio cables are not shielded,i was a great case but that is unacceptable im still happy with my Cooler Master 832 Stacker.

  • wtf is that noise xD ye fans are hiting plastic xD

  • Yet again, for this set up yes. For a future set up, no. If I get more GPUs hard drives etc I have room to expand. Doesnt make sence to me at least to throw money at a bunch of PSUs. You can buy all you want, one is fine for me.

  • i agree

  • Whats that noise? Sound like fans hitting plastic. Oh and i love the cpu fan, that aint gettin hot netym soon lol

  • Was probably my old chair that I had. Squeaked a lot. lol.

  • nice computer man, gj on the cable management, looks really clean, are you still using the dual core? or have you upgraded at all? my phenom died... and my gtx 260 had some driver errors, i'm back on my amd 4200+2.2 @3.1ghz, she taps out there, made it to 3.2ghz but it's unstable. I have an antec 300 case antec cases are really well made.

  • Thanks!!

Ya, still in the 5000+ B.E. Would love to upgrade. Maybe here this Christmas. And yeah, Antec cases are great. Would def. recommend.

  • cool, yeah I had the 5000+ before I bought the quad core, I had it oc'd to 2.9ghz, it's a good cpu. I don't mind the amd 4200+ though either, it's oc'd to 3.1ghz stable. I think I just need a better graphics card. then i'll upgrade to a new tower this upcoming spring.

  • The AMD Processor I also have is an AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-Core Processor 2.30GHz. It's okay, but nothing compared to the i7. Just thought I would tell you that too, so you know. Now see ya lol.

  • If you decide to upgrade, go with Intel all the way. Their new i7's are amazing. I switched from AMD to Intel and noticed a difference in performance. I'm not no Intel fan boy going omg buy this now! I'm just telling you something I realized from switching. Also Nvidia compared to ATI is better too. Again not a fan boy, just something I noticed severely from switching. Well, this is my last post. Nice PC, see you around.

  • I know three comments in a row lol, but I would just like to say nice case. I am probably going to purchase one soon, due to my XCLIO A380BK is starting to be a piece of shit all of the sudden. It's an okay case, the one I own, but it just gets really irritating sometimes. I like how the Antec 1200 has all of the cool features, plus the look of it. If my side fan breaks again, then I plan on purchasing this case.

  • Also if you have a TV tuner card and like to watch TV on your computer and DVR the shows, etc, that's another problem. When you go to start up WMC (Windows Media Center) you can watch TV, but after about 20 minutes, it will freeze and close out. You can look up both of these problems I have explained on Google. Tons of people are complaining about the same two things. I just thought I would let you all know.

  • The only thing I hate about Windows 7, is how they don't allow you to drag and organize your folders, pictures, etc. Such as in the Picture section for example. I am not sure if it is the same way on Windows 7 32bit, but I need Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) due to I have 6gigs of RAM. If there is a way to be able to drag your pictures and organize them, let me know. I've tried everything, even little tweaks, but nothing works.

  • are you currently with vista or installing Windwos 7?

  • Currently Vista 64. Looking to go to 7 soon. I have 7 on my backup computer and like it alot so far.

  • AMD.

    FAIL.

  • Much like your comments!

  • What a Sound Likes an 747 boeing xD

  • Nice build, I have a similar one. You should check my last vid. Got the new OCZ ram cooler version 2. Works like a beast to keeps ram temps down, so if your looking for a ram cooler it sits high and is dirt cheep at 25 bucks. Plus, it's built like a tank.

  • Can a EXT ATX 12" x 10" / (304.8mm x 254.20 mm) Motherboard fit in that Antec Twelve Hundred case???

Does it have room length wise for the motherboard??

  • No it doesnt. Standard ATX only.

Not sure if it would work with some modding or not though.

  • ok i wasnt paying attention .. but if u look at ur video .. theres a Ton of space to the right - it has to fit :P

    Standard ATX is like 12" x "9.6

this board is listed as ATX . but in the manual it shows as EXT ATX .. but u really dont think the 0.4" wont fit?

  • Not sure. Looking at some sites it is listed as an ATX only case.

But yeah, there is a ton of room in front there. If the standoffs were in the same locations as an ATX, I would think you would have enough room.

Would leave a little less room for your cable mgmt holes.

  • lol that modem compared to the case. case>modem

  • very loudy

  • 1000W 1 gpu? this fan its sounds like a fly xD

  • Ya, a little overkill. But was mainly looking to have room for expansion/upgrades. Hence the mobo being able to take am2+ cpus, etc etc. Still haven't upgraded though, need to get on that.

  • realy good pc i have a dream to have this pc :D

    sorry for me eng

  • Sweet setup (thumb up)

  • I was able to do it without an extension, but barely. It can be done without one, but wouldnt recommend it.

    Thanks.

  • Need to know something about your case/power supply combo. Were you able to plug in the power to the motherboard using cable management without extentions, or did you need to order those?

    Also, sweet build!!!

  • Perfect case.

  • nice cable management, did you have to cut holes in the case in order to get this quality cause im building for a mate and hes getting the antec 1200 and im wondering if i should start cutting or just use the stock holes?

  • I was able to do it with all stock holes. Thats the great thing about the 1200 case...

  • Good job on the cable mangement man. Good quality vid too. 5*

  • Thanks!!

  • Lovely

  • hey dude is the ocz reaper memory good? is it durable?

  • So far so good. I have it running at recommended specs and have had no problems at all with it! Would recommend it.

  • Can i query you on why you installed a fan controller as on my 1200 i have 3 knobs on the front wich control the 3 front fans so i never saw a need for a fan controller?

  • I just liked the idea of it at first. Got all three fans in back/top on one knob etc. Also could use it later with other fans potentially. Don't really need it I know, but sounded good at the time when I was ordering parts.

  • you are very very cpu limited

  • Yeah, unfortunately I had pretty much built this computer bass ackwards. The CPU was the first "purchase". I had actually got it for free from amazon with a gift card I had won. Was only like $60 at the time. If I had it to do over, I would do things different. But I am still happy with it for now. Comparing coming from an old P4 2.6ghz with 1.5gb ram, its a huge upgrade.

  • is it ok to have the fan exhaust of the psu on the bottom of the case? manual says install psu so fan points upward

  • It actually exhausts out the back. Open in front and sucks air through and blows it out the back.

  • Ohh, what I meant to ask you was say you had a powersupply like the 1000hx, people are saying if you install it so the fan of hte psu is on the bottom then the fan wont get enough air to circulate through the psu, just wanted your opinion on that comment

  • Ah, gotchya. Ok, well you could always mount it "upside down" to where the fan is on top. That shouldn't effect anything. Also, in a case like the 1200 there is little rubber feet that the PSU sit on allowing roughly a 1/2 inch gap below the PSU. So if the fan was on the bottom it would allow some airflow through. Hope that helps.

  • Also, some cases such as the Cosmos S have a hole in the bottom of the case with a dust filter that allows PSU's with fans on the bottom to still suck air in from below the case.

  • Ok cool, thanks for your tips. Was planning on a 1000hx with the 1200, the cable are longer when the is upright with the fan on the bottom of it

  • Ya. If worst comes to worst, you could always get extensions.

  • Ok cool bro, thanks for your help. Would you also happen to recommend any online retailer for extensions?

  • I have not dealt with any personally. I picked up my 8pin extension from a local computer store and my 24 pin barely fit without one.

But, I know TJHarlow highly recommends "performance-pcs". They will sleeve and heat shrink them for you as well if you want. Little extra charge of course. Just google whats in the quotes and it will be the first site on the list.

  • Thanks

  • very nice

  • awesome cable management but AMD 5000+ sucks ^^

  • lol ya thanks. Probably get a new processor here sooner or later.

  • AMD phenom II x4 955 BE is awesome. THis is the last from AMD and I have it ! it's very very fast :p

  • nice build wicked build tight like it

  • Thanks...

  • very nice man 5/5

  • nice.
