  • I'm sure a lot of people have said this, but TURN OFF THE COMMENTS, PLEASE!!!!!

  • I know I can turn off annotations, but still... they are annoying, not even close to "humorous", and they detract from what would be an awesome and epic video anyway.

  • Which star trek series was this?

  • no leroy jenkins?

  • nice

  • Guys i dunno if you will agree with me, but 1:46 - 1:50. Two Galaxy Class Starships, the most powerful ships that Starfleet had, vs a Cardassian Galor?

Dis the words overkill leap into anyone else head, or just mine?

    lol

  • lol Sisko wouldn't go fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu. He'd rain down a load of kick ass on the Dominion.

  • Normally I complain about the overuse of this soundtrack, but it works beautifully for the sweeping shot.

  • Love the Miranda class it was great to see other TSO era ships like the K't'inga-class in action during the DS9 series

  • I ever wonder, where the hell are all the shields?

  • BRILLIANT, WONDERFUL, GLORIOUS, THE MAKER OF THIS VIDEO!

  • Voyager needed :D.

  • @Charliebfan: Sacrifice of angels

  • The only thing I disliked about these battle scenes was that the Enterprise E nor any other Sovereign class ship got to make an appearance.

  • 2:06: "OUCH! Motherfucker you hit me in the dick!"

"You're lucky it wasn't hard!!!"- The Tourettes Guy... lol.

  • What episode of DS9 was this? I'd love to be able to watch the full episode :)

  • @Charliebfan it's in the title. *derp*

  • When the Galaxy Class Starships @ 1:45 strafed that Cardiassian Starship you should have added "WE ARE THE JUGGERNAUTS BITCH!" lol

  • hilarious annotations.will u do more please?

  • IDK. to me Captain Janeway was the risk taker. but then again when your away from home you do things differently. Starfleet knew if the Jem'hadar reinforcement got through the worm hole then all was lost. So they needed to put all the chips down. The Alpha quadrant got lucky because of the prophets and Sisko.

  • 1:38 LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY JEEEEEEEEENKIIIIINS

  • Saving this for the Annotations xD

  • lol ferengi on crew. how the hell did they join

  • @mmarko001s You've obviously never watched much of Star Trek Deep Space Nine? Nog(the ferengi) makes a great addition to Star Fleet.

  • STAR TREK DS9 Y U NO HAB SHIELDS?!

  • Way to ruin an epic scene with overused music and "lame" annotations.

  • I laughed my ass off at 2:22.

  • @Forlo12345 hahah so did I. I refer to that scene as the Klingon T-Bone. Classic.

  • In "Way of the Warrior" Chief O'Brien mentions that "They'll build another Enterprise soon enough" in a conversation with Worf. That means that by the fifth season the events of " Generations" had already occurred, so Picard may not have had a ship to command at the time, and could have been posted to an administrative/ strategic command position pending the construction of the Enterprise-E.

  • That damn song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • No Shield Impacts @ all?

  • @ReiHinoSenshi They probably can't use shields in such tight formation. The shield extend the collision range of ship considerably and if two shields collide you are fvcked.

  • Miranda Class. even though the Miranda ships were upgraded with enhance shields and weaponry they are still the weakest ships. they are just old and even with upgrades they will take a beaten but wont hold out for long. Its just if you up grade an old 70 Honda to it max and you put it head to head with a new honda which honda do you beleive will hold out longer.

  • Original defiant was destroyed it was replaced with uss sao paolo renamed defiant. The other ship the valiant was destroyed

  • Miranda's Rock why does every scene one blow up *No shields?*

  • Still amazing.

  • The song is called "Requiem for a Tower", based off of Lux Aeterna from the film "Requiem for a Dream", it was made popular by the Lord of the Rings : Two Towers Trailer. It's not generally available to the public as it is usually for trailer producers only, but can be found easily on the internet. ;-)

  • there where several defiant class ships. only uss defiant is left.

  • @timelordaeon1

what. the uss defiant was destroyed. starfleet produced more of the class during and after the dominion war

  • @zzxcvb98 there where 9 defiant class starships. two where uss defiant

  • Helll yea Klingongs to the fking rescue!

  • No other movie annotations were so much fun. EVER! :D

  • This is that New World Order Doomsday Music which is being Played on Youtube a lot about the Upcoming World War 3 and NWO videos

  • whats that song called?

  • Ever wonder why sisko pick the Miranda class ship and not the Akira class as his escort? LOL well not Sisko but the director of the show

  • @CmdrofNine Two words: Meat Shield!

  • lol I know this music from YGOTABS

  • I think I "Liked" this one before, but I feel the need to "Like" it again. Love this battle with Lux Aeterna playing. Fits so well.

  • Lux Aeterna is the name of this song, it is the description of epic

  • If you dont see the Enterprise, the flag ship of the Federation wasnt there. Still a Great fight the Federation doesnt enter normally.

  • @Xradris As I told Zeemis about 3 months ago, Picard is probably one of the best tacticians / commanders in all of Starfleet. Sisko was bold, daring, and willing to take huge risks to win the battle. Picard is no less willing to fight, but sometimes in war, your best fighter's place is not always on the front lines. If the Dominion had made it to Earth, would you want anyone else ready to draw a line in the sand in the battle for Earth and the Alpha Quadrant, than Captain Jean-Luc Picard......?

  • @centurion205 You forget the dominon did make it to Earth

  • @chaliechan101 But not on a huge, epic proportion. Yeah they had a few changlings make it, but as far as a widespread invasion fleet, no.

  • @centurion205 Uhh I think you need to go back and watch "The Changing face of Evil" when The Breen join the dominon and attack Starfleet HQ... ON EARTH

  • @chaliechan101 It's been years since I've watched the full on episodes, so you could be correct. That particular invasions I don't remember seeing.

  • @centurion205 would that be because Picard would "draw the line HERE! this far, no farther!" lol

  • @centurion205 what about captain Kirk?

  • annotations were funny, but music track is overrused and cheesy... the original sound effects wouldve been far better.

  • @HelmutVillam This song is epic, you my friend must be no fan of symphony, it is not at all cheesy and stop critisizing someones work!

  • I lol'd at "YIPPEE KAY YAY!"

  • The best space battle scene in Star Trek. My only concern is that almost every ship is killed with a single phaser/torpedo, when the Defiant seems to be indestructible / impossible to target.

  • @UberCheese256 The perk of being the central characters.

  • This might just be the first youtube video that made me roll on the floor and laugh at those annotations. Great work dude!

  • @Apollo11222 but there was bound to be more than on constituion refit class starship they don't build one offs

  • I forgive you for using this overused music only because it was very well done and also only because of the fact that it was back in 2006 before it was actually used to death.

    Awesome vid, thumbs up.

  • someone answer me this. y the old enterprise ncc 1701-a class was retired yet there are ships from the same era still being used e.g the excelsior and Miranda refit class vessels

  • @SuperIronman17 Because the USS Enterprise NCC 1701-Alpha was scraped after kirks last mission (IE in star trek the undiscovered country) because the ammount of damage it recieved

  • It looks like during Dominion war no side used shielding technology. Few shots from some weapon platform and formidable Warbird was gone....

  • @Zeemis : I doubt enough ships would have been left to defend earth

  • would be much better without the comments on the video.

    omg /facepalm . . .

  • if you pause at 2:28 you can see a Defiant, a Miranda, two Akira, two Steamrunner, and three Galaxy though one looks like it has damage to its saucer

  • how many ( much ) is 1254 ships???????

  • How many ship did the Federation Loose

  • @mflores34

    Lose*

  • wow star trek had some sick animation for 1997 :O

  • @Roflcopter147 It was TV show with limited budget, not Hollywood film. That's why...

  • 2:32 or so Why did i see a drestory from a bird of prey by another Bird of prey?

  • best spaceship battle in all of star trek!

  • I never did see were to turn off the comments at but a good battle all the same. But can anyone tell me were I can find ds9 on the web and not were you get slammed with a bunch of advertisement crap put on your computer and make it free to boot. I found a great web site this last summer it had all of the ST shows on it and just when I was going to start on ds9 it got pulled. Any help?

  • @n5tiflk try Tv-dot-blinkx-dot-com they link to streaming sites the streamers have popup ads but nothing that inserts itself mal wear on your pc also it's free to watch

  • I never did see were to turn off the comments at but a good battle all the same. • My fravorite episode of my fravorite Star Trek series. It still looks fresh today , can't belive how old Ds9 is.

  • Stupid annotations with overrused music.

  • This was cool, missed the episode, missed a few- work does that. But very cool.

  • is that a Steamrunner class that buys it in the right hand corner at 2:15 ?

  • @alanfangor Why it appears it is!

  • would have been funnier to have the klingons say LETS DO THIS LEEERROOOY JJAAAACCCKKSSOOON

  • @alanfangor but also asome in this way^^

  • It always bugged me how in DS9 they had such large fleets of federation ships, when in TNG the loss of about 40 ships was considered a massive loss at Wolf 359. Where did all these ships full of redshirts come from?

  • Tis DS9 trying to out epic Babylon 5. I do like DS9, it had the most depth out of the Treks, but it couldn't shake off the legacy of Star Trek battles not feeling tactile, nor common sense. Number of ships do not the battle make. Although tis just my personal opinion, but B5 managed to be much more intense with a space station and six capital ships and their fighters (See Severed Dreams), with much more primitive CGI.

Too many things blowing up just ends up eye candy at the end of the day.

  • Sheesh guys, you can turn OFF the comments........wow......

  • great scenes but you totally runnied it with ur shiity comments, lame

  • god dam that was bad only becuse u dicided to be a idiot and add in all those stupid little attatchmants

  • Love the video. Hate the so-called 'humorous' annotations. Turn those off and the thing is near perfect. Sometimes, it is best to not try to improve on perfection. ;)

  • Why Picard didn't lead this attack force is beyond me... His ship is the lead flag ship of the Federation...

  • @Zeemis Sisko had elements of the 2nd, 5th and 9th fleets assembled. Picard was most likely in command of the fleet responsible for guarding Earth and all the other planets in our solar system. If Sisko had failed / been killed, and the Dominion/Cardassian forces had forced their way to Earth, no doubt you'd find Captain Picard and the Enterprise, ready for one last stand against anyone who would try to take Earth. Sometimes in war, your best fighter's place is not always on the front lines.....

  • @centurion205 Well said, I concur now.

  • @centurion205 You forgot the defiant!

  • @16Farrago It's already implied that Sisko would have the Defiant as his flagship of the assembled fleet. You think Picard, you think of the Enterprise D & E. You think of Janeway, there's Voyager. So the same would go for Sisko and having the Defiant.

  • @centurion205 i was always curious about what the enterprise was doing in this season ;-)

  • @sanderrodijk I don't know for absolutely sure where Picard was in this. To my knowledge there was pretty much no mention of Picard or the Enterprise in the Dominion War. But come on, how many times has Picard saved the Federation from the Borg, the Romulans, and from a dozen other species? He's gotta be one of the best tacticianers in all of Starfleet. Being that the Enterprise IS the flagship, wouldn't YOU want you best commander guarding your front door of your home planet / Federation HQ ?

  • @centurion205 Picard was an OK combat officer but Sisko was an exceptional on.how often did Picard use his tactical brilliance to successfully out fight a superior enemy?Sisko did it all the time.Picard feared the thought of facing more then 1 enemy ship,Picard lost to 3 birds of pray? Sisko in the same Galaxy class would have taken on those 3 ships as warm up. Sometimes in war, your best fighter's place is not always on the front lines, other time you have him in command of DS9.

  • @centurion205

Picard really doesn't come off as a large scale combat tactician, except where it applies to the Borg though.

  • @Zeemis

Why some admiral don't lead this attack is my question

  • Why some admiral don't lead this attack is my question

  • Comment removed

  • @chaszczek Most admirals rarely sit in a command chair anymore, other than their cozy offices in starfleet headquarters, or whatever starbase they're assigned to. To much time out of the field makes these chair warmers rusty and combat obsolete. Sisko probably has more experience fighting the Dominion and the Cardassians than any other captain in Starfleet. Like Picard is pwnage master over the Borg. For Sisko, it's the Dominion. In war, fight with those who best know how to fight your enemy.

  • @Zeemis Because he was busy making the movies and they didn't want any Sovereign-class ships in DS9

  • Trek ships are so weak...

  • @SFRMAINE Either that or Star trek weapons are so powerful :P

  • ahhaha nice D

  • Nog never got enough credit.. people forget he was at the helm. Not bad for Starfleet's first Feringi. I'm sure he has seen more action on DS9 than most any other ensign on Earth.

  • And finally:

    3) The CGI....it just looks like crap compared to actual the actual models. I don't know when movie/tv creators will realize this. These ships look no more convincing than the ships in the "Revenge of the Sith's" opening battle. I get the impression that these battles were made to this scale just because they could.

  • you see these sort of ship engagments all the time in star wars, thats why in star trek this is way more epic

  • Does anyone else think Rom sounds like Snufalufagus on Sesame Street? "OK BIRD. HUH HUH HUH".

  • And that's why you don't F*** with starfleet. :)

There slow to get going, but there's a damn good reason why there one of the strongest force's in the galaxy once they bring there might to bare!

  • I get goosebumps every time I watch this!! Thank you for putting this together, it's amazing!

  • loved tyhe speach buble nic tuch

  • I wonder who are the sad federation pilots who get stuck flying the tiny fighters...

  • Don't call the Defiant little....

  • may i say that, despite this being one of the best plot lines in any star trek series, where and how do the federation keep getting all those ships?

  • @AlekWheeler The Federation spans hundreds of member civilizations, and has thousands of lightyears of territory. Even just the Mars shipyards is large enough to be simultaneously building several dozen ships. And given that Federation ships last for a hundred years or more (Oberth anyone?), they're bound to have thousands of ships available.

  • i love ds9 its my favourite series, but if you realistically take in to account the sheer size of these starships there is just no way they could fight and manouver in such a tight formation as that, but its great to suspend belief and amazing to watch.

  • @garysm2 Trek Tech: The impusle drives actually use a lowlevel subspace field to artificially reduce the ship's mass. The warp drive works the same way, but requires more power and the warp nacelles to operate. Hence why the ships can accelerate at ridiculous rates.

  • anybody know where i can get this actual version of the song, and not any of the other 4 million versions and remixes?

  • @AKIDZPRODUCTION The song is Lux aeterna by Clint Mansell and look for a video that is over 6 minutes long with full orchestra.

  • @TWGRY80 thanks

  • @TWGRY80 thanks :)

  • No matter How many times I watch all of the dvds they never get boring to me.......This one is the best of them all

  • What's up with the comment in your video?

  • A whole fleet, excelsiors, galaxys, mirandas, akiras, birds of prey, however the defiant saves the day, urgh i hate that ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Too bad Ds9 had graphics that could barely rival a video game.

  • @dreadnus

It was the 90s. And for its age, it's faired much better than TOS and TNG in terms of special effects.

  • What is that Music? I love it!

Doh...just found it in the title

  • @sickoflookingforuser Its call "Requiem for a Dream Remix"

  • What is that Music? I love it!

  • Ah the U.S.S Defiant. 1st time I saw it I wanted 1. 1st time I saw it in a battle I wanted 2. except for the 2nd ship would of been called U.S.S Intruder. lol

  • Usually the federation are slow to pick up the guns and fight.....but when they do, they don't fuck about!

  • This is the same audio from Rome Total War Barbarian Invasion!! GREAT CHOICE!!!! DAMN GOOD VIDEO!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!

OOH! there goes the Ferengi Marauder!!

  • @celticbattleaxe

There were no Ferengi Marauders in DS9's Dominion War battles. I wish though, they looked like pretty tough ships.

  • What episode was this?

  • @ptevans01 it's season six of Deep Space Nine Scarife of Angel

  • The annotations WOULD be funny if you spelled them correctly! <.<

  • Very nice, the humor+RFD is a good combo when made properly

    10/10

  • The needed to make this into a Movie. in 3D

  • cant they just warp around the fleet? lol or just fly under it

  • That was pretty damned funny. I lol'd quite a bit.

  • 2D strategy in a 3D space... Cool battle but awfull strategy!

  • wahhhhh this is crazy!

  • I wonder if the klingons would be kind enough to tell the other races that space is 3 dimensional.

  • @thetwentyteens

No shit, I mean this is in the future, I'm sure SOMEONE played Homeworld 1 and 2 when they were kids in the Holodeck.

  • @Atheistcat2004

I doubt Homeworld was still popular after WW3 :P

  • @RogueKnight24

    You're probably right. :S

  • Comment removed

  • epic

  • He should redo this one and have an annotation going "I'M A FIRIN MAH LAZERS!"

  • I am sure those at Paramount, and the producers at the Star Trek stage wanted MORE for us. Well....they get a 100 percent rating from me for doing this Dominion sequel. Thank-you! P.S. I am sure the Klingons said...."We own you now.....Mother Fu@#%@@^ers!!" ;)

  • Seriously, did that Klingon ship shoot his buddy down?

  • @dankrug572

    couldn't agree more!!!

  • @dankrug572 if only star wars had more broadside battles. i loved the scene in ep 3 where the two flag ships just pounded away at eachother :P

  • yipee kay yay motherf***er indeed

  • I both love this and find flaws with it. DS9 is the show that tried to paint Star Trek in more realstic tones, away from the mightier then thou attitude of TNG. But it never managed character development like B5, nor could it manage the operatic levels of intenstinty found in B5. But I did notice how DS9 tried to up it's game with fleet actions, but it was limited by it's own mythos. The Federation didn't really have fighters like B5, and those assault shuttles are a poor fill in.

  • Do you really think it is better with those comments?

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaats this...?

  • Yes I always thought that it was friendly fire that destroyed the Bird of Prey.

  • Requiem for a Dream + Sacrifice of Angel = win for me. The written text was great too, except I dont picture Klingon, that were not suppose to be there (in the plan), saying yippikayyay moth........er.

  • No matter how many times I see it. I get excited seeing the galaxy class ships taking on that Cardassian ship. Now that is what I call team work. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • @CmdrofNine Galaxy Tag team is brutal. You can almost hear the Gul in command screaming, "HARD TO STARBOARD!! EMERGENCY POWER TO SHIELDS!!"

  • @ThePolysyllabist LOL I think his exact words were. MAMI, lol

  • @CmdrofNine

Six...six Phaser bolts...JESUS!!! :D....Definitely one of the best space based tag teams ever shown. "OK gotcha bro...gonna rake him then switch off to you..." "Roger...roger Bro...". :D

  • The scale as in number of ships was certainly impressive, but the fact that each ship is only firing a single phaser at a time despite their size and that there is hardly any background activity somewhat lessens the effect. I would be far more impressive if every ship on screen was engaged, not just those in the foreground + one or two more.

  • This is Star Trek. Fuck you JJ Abrams and your crappy movie with shaky cameras and bad CGI and storylines.

  • an amazing battle, it overcomes stargate a battle, and in the same position as Stars Battle
