@Fardi24 hello, I would like to say that we are all born into the religion that is in our home. My father was anglican and my mother catholic. By the time I was 10 I no longer wanted to go to church or sunday school, it made me cry, i felt its falseness and control. Through a friend I have been introduced to hinduism, more a lifestyle than a religion. It just feels right for me, it makes me happy from inside my heart, i am more content and no longer feel alone.

Saivites believe Shiva is that one god: the creator, destroyer and preserver of all things. Vaishnavs belive the one god is vishnu. Shaktas believe this one god is devi, or divine mother. The difference is that Vaishnavs believe in avatar particularly ram and krishna and follow mostly the way of bhakti (devotion) as opposed to meditation. However these are all conceptions of brahman or parmatman (the universal consciousness or universal truth) which all hindus believe in.
