The system fucking blows, yes. We also have a retarded school system and a war on drugs that helps keep the poor down. However, I don't think everything is as bleak as you think. The "wage slaves" now live better than medieval kings once did. Also I think you underestimate how drastically powerful the grey market is in America. Being paid under-the-table is a norm for non-corporate business. The vast majority of small businesses ignore regulations and hide income.
@Aurini The need for human hierachy dictates that. The collective is mostly preoccupied with their own safety and such a weak and fragile lot simply needs a strong hand to guide them through the lands.
@Aurini Makes sense, except that the government will do anything to prevent the decentralization process from occurring, because it threatens their own power to such a degree where they'd become almost mediocre and insignificant.
A centralized govern. takes the role of the sun and would never give up their position without brute force.
Anything that does not resemble to sheepocracy is deemed dangerous and therefore democracy just needs to be glorified by all.
@Aurini not that there has to be a top, but I honestly believe that some people (even if only a very small minority) can not be content with being equal with others, and (historically) go as far as to try and dominate their fellow man.
my problem is not wanting to be rich ,i dont have any desire to be rich or sucessfull ,i just want to live and be left alone to enjoy my life ,but there's always someone wanting to fuck with you ,i should have been born 150 years ago ,when you lived as you liked and didnt bother anyone and if they fucked with you ,you settled it at the end of a gun

"Like the gd leeches they are..."
And the leftists, the champions of the poor and the downtrodden, will stand,
blubbering out from of their tear filled eyes, and applaud with joy that the savior government once again,
has saved the coward from the evil scheming business owner.
Afterward,
.
they will fellate each other.

@Android369 So let us have many tops, then; a land of pyramids, not a single hierarchy.
Let leaders lead, but don't force all into one.

@MrChimochay I agree; this should be seen as part of the engineering problem. Democracy just incentivizes them to become politicians and lobbyists.
Remove nodes of power, offer status-seeking paths for those that give a damn.
Easier said than done, obviously - but I think 'engineering problem' is a good metric to look at it by.

Hey Aurini have you read "Crashproof 2.0" Schiff's got some pretty good [unfortunately, vague] advise for surviving the next 20 years or so.

@Worldslargestipod Bought 1.0 for my Stepdad back in '06/'07 - skimmed through some of it. Great book.
To be frank, I don't have enough savings for it to be pertinent to me right now. The army didn't pay all that well.

I think I'll start calling myself a libertarian misanthrope, or anarcho-misanthrope (but anarchism is a vague term anyways.)

I sometimes call myself an anarcho-cynicalist. :)
