  • this has an mobility vertion of the 9300gt i think (correct me if am wrong)

is an ati mobility radeon 4250 256mb vid ram better?

  • @Gamet00b The N510 with ION is based on the 9400. The 4250 is better

  • System specs?

  • from german?xD

  • Can someone help i want a CHEAP netbook that can run call of duty world at war. Help me and ill subscribe :D

  • hi, after i watch this video i install it on my netbook but ive got lags. so can you help this? sorry bad english

  • its a fake

  • can u test bf2 or bf2142?

  • for just 1GB of RAM this is very impressive! I will put 2GB of 800Mhz RAM in mine, so far Im running very intensive music software and pluggins all fine.. treat the casing with kid gloves due to easy cracking in some cases.

  • check out the new alienware m11x netbook under £!000

  • well, some actual gameplay would be nice. I don't know the game, but testing some typical scenes of the game, e.g. battles in a forest?

    @mg5319

    what do you expect?

    process: same

    ram: same (i guess)

    graphics: same

    os: well...

summing up: hardly any crucial differences, thus i guess...

  • put optimal settings and it will runs smooth

  • Nice vid. I have a question what is better: this Samsung N510 Ion fully upgraded or the HP mini 311 fully upgraded to: -Intel Atom N280 1.66 GHz -3 GB DDR3 SDRAM -nVdia ION graphics -320 GB HDD -Windows 7 HP 32-bit -Built-in Altec Lansing HD Stereo Speakers -Wifi 802.11n -Bluetooth -1.3 MP webcam -3 x USB -1 x HDMI (1080p compatibel) -1 x VGA Ethernet -5-in-1 card reader
  • b.t.w. the HP Mini 311 has a 11.6'' screen running a max resolution of 1366 x 768

  • @MG5319

Yeah but good luck finding it in the UK with an Atom 280...

  • Hahah XD Luckily I don't live in the UK :D

  • Sonovabitch. :D

The HP mini 311 would have been my first choice if I could get it over here. Besides the lame chasis though, the Samsung N510 does seem to be about the same though.

  • haha yea

  • Got mine in the UK with a N280 chipset, and samsung include performance setting software to get the max out of it, plus 2GB of RAM will help with any preloading jerkyness. plus I optimised my XP instal to the max for music/video production. I love mine.

  • haha you know what I am just going to buy a new desktop intel core 7 950 3.00 Ghz or something

6 GB DDR3 RAM and the new ati radeon hd5870 or the new gtx when it comes out ;) D:

  • @MG5319

    Child....sigh

  • did you use anti aliasing?

  • If you looked at options at the start of the video you see that he dont use AA.

  • it has ODD?

  • Hi, thanks for the great effort making these videos. Is it possible for you to test Counter Strike Source and hopefully Rainbow Six Ravenshield on your N510. I'm still not sure if I should buy this device but these games would make it much easier for me to decide. Thanks a lot.

  • I would like to do that, but the problem is, I don´t have these two games. But there are other test of the Atom + Ion where CSS is easily playable. No idea about Rainbow Six.

  • тшсу

  • How come a recent test on the HP Mini 311 (with N270 + ION LE) gives higher framerates as is visible?

  • Do you have a link to this test?

Or is it the one with the small indoor level? That´s the reason why it runs better ;o)

But still, CoD4 is playable on low settings on the N510.

  • Yep, the indoor training level- which is way smoother than this. Just watch him shooting about:

    /watch?v=rq3viL3EysU&feature=player_embedded

  • Faultiermaennchen wot about Aion online mmorpg (by NCSoft)? pleeez

  • Have no Aion ;o)

  • Thank you anyway :)

  • @faultiermaennchen why do you have shadows enabled?

  • Netbook is not for playing.

I don't think kess than 30fps is fun to play a game.

Atom N270 is a very weak CPU , not designed for gaming.

CoD4 def. is not playable for my standards.

You can play WC3 , AoE2, CS 1.6 and such games on this book. That works fine.

  • hope you know that your eye isnt able to realize a difference btw 28 and 199 fps!

  • Moron haha.

  • You've obviously never owned a proper gaming machine before, have you?

There is a massive difference between 28 and 199 fps, where 28 will appear choppy and anything over 60fps will not.

Do some research before you post comments like this.

  • oh sry, i obviously do!

and you really wanna tell me that you see everything choppy in cinema? (in cinema they just use 24fps ;) ) ok i know that they're "cheating" a lil bit but...

i think it just makes a difference at real playing ;) so you feel a bit laggy if youre moving your mouse, etc...

  • Nope, don´t have CS 1.6, but it should run fine on the N510.

  • Shit, first 3 minutes goes to trash bin, no one interested in boring speech, cinematics and other. And GOD! Another performance test in training yard, and with out fraps...

  • I don´t think that it the CPU settings, and the Game graphic settings are uninteresting. I rather explain/show them than getting 20pms on how they were. I played cod 4 a little bit further and performance doesn´t change. Still playable but not looking good.

  • 4:15 xD

  • Graca settings are of course set in PERFOMANCE ;o)

  • A note regarding your latest game tests on the N510.

Are you sure you have the correct settings configured for the graphics card in the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL?

You need to make sure it is on PERFORMANCE rather than QUALITY.

The first reviewer of the N510 over on Netbooknews made this mistake and only achieved 16FPS in the Doom 3 time demo, however after correcting the control panel settings he achieved around 30FPS.

    Please check this out.
