If Mark doesn't like the triggers,somebody should send him a pair of the trigger extensions! I bought some from best buy ($5 for two pairs) and they just clip onto the old triggers and make them concave like the 360's triggers. After slightly adjusting my grip, i actually found the original triggers to be better, because I found a comfortable position in which my fingers never slip off, but i have a lot of friends that love the extensions. @coldlmy1 ps1 came out in 1999 thats a few years before xbox so you could say microsoft took the dualshock changed it a little bit and made their own controller

My dualshock 2 still works after repeated wear and tear. I have been using it for like 6-7 years and it hasn't broken! Now sure the left analog stick is VERY loose (mainly because of racing games) but it still works.

I've gone through a few of these controllers and it still ranks as one of my favorite console controllers of all time.However i notice certain games like Hot Shots Tennis and Bully have rather subdued dualshock 2 effects similiar to that of a PS1 Dualshock,strange huh!

I think with the triggers it's better because the PS2 controller after lots of use the R2 and L2 buttons can break down easier. With the PS3 controller there is no such problem. Also a trigger is good for both racing games (easy to adjust your speed) and shooters (feels like a gun trigger) bottom line PS3 controller FTW!

The difference of Dualshock1 and Dualshock2 is that Dualshock2 has pressure sensitive buttons, all buttons except start/select and L3/R3 are pressure sensitive and that means that the Dualshock2 is a full analog controller... It's the only controller I know with a analog Directional Pad ever made, notice that that feature doesn't work with any game... If the game doesn't support pressure sensitive buttons, they will work normally as digital buttons...

17 years old and i must say i have always owned sony's gaming tec and it has never failed me.

When i first had my ps2 on my b day on may 2002 that was when my holidays were:

MUST PLAY PS2!!!

Ps1 was more of a relaxing time back on 1998, most of my time was passed with my neibours playing hide n seek and other stuff but the ps2 man this reminded me alot of good memories!

Still recall my first ps2 game: monsters ink! Still remembered my fav 2 games sly cooper and ratchet and clank!

IMO the DualShock controller is still the best controller ever.

Dualshock 2 added something - every button became an analog thingy, for pressure-sensitive functionality. That's why you need fancy drivers and stuff to use a Dualshock 3 on a computer, without them the computer's too stupid to tell when you press a button due to the analog signal instead of digital.
