Mona and the other 9 bahá'i women executed 18 th June 1983 are heroines like our other friends prisoned and executed in the past, and those who suffer the hands of tyranny today. Those brave young women, willingly sacrificing their own lives for a Greater Cause, so aware of the importance of the Revelation of Bahá'u'lláh is such an impressing act that they will inspire future generations. They will never be forgotten. Ya Báhá'ul' Abhá.
Let's don't forget her, she ought be to in our daily prayers.... she is a lamp for our daughters, for the future mothers.... sistere, grandmothers...she represents one wing of the human bird......without her example we won't be able to fly to the unity and equality of mankind

Thank you for a sensitve, touching tribute to a committed Baha'i youth. The service of teaching the young has to be at the pinnacle for worshipping God in action. How great an honor Mona--not by her choice--gave her life to a fanatical power claiming to be followers of Muhammad's Divinely Inspired teachings.
To think this 16 year old has already become a model of committment & service to all people, young & old.
Mona's story lends credence to the book: YOUTH CAN MOVE THE WORLD.
Mona's story as always touched me, like all the martyrs who rather went to their grave than recanting the Faith. How strong, how fundamental must one's faith be to do something so selfless. Giving up your life like that, especially when one is so young, is the very meaning of detachment. Even though I grow into the Faith more and more (2 years now) I don't know if I could so something so unreal. Yet it is a very real thing and we should help the Baha'i's in Iran in any way we can.
