  • dont wrap tightly on joint itself,it will cause friction of patella with joint.wrap tightly below and up the joint.

  • Should I leave my wraps unrolled or rolled up tight when they're not being used?

  • @lbaumy unless you want them to stretch out to break in if they're too stiff i would just fold them up for storage.

  • @derkypoo42 Okay. I just got mine like a week ago and they're still really stiff. Thanks for the advice.

  • @lbaumy right on. if it's anything less than the convict wraps i would say savor the stiffness for as long as you can.

  • Great tutorial. Been using the Bow Tie Spiral Technique with Titan THP's for about 18 months with no complaints...like the look of the Nichols tread w/ Bow Tie...a good combination, especially as I'm a light lifter and have plenty of wrap to go around. Saved to fav's...thanks again.

  • @derkypoo42 Love the video man, just got my own knee wraps! realy gonna try some of the techniques you have shown in the video. Bin doing 540kg legpresses and 200-220kg squats, with out any support for the knees, so I'm realy exited to hit the Gym and try out the knee wraps. keep the videos coming.

  • which style to use if im doing hack squat, and going all the way down? I go more than just 90degree.

  • After wrapping knees I could barely walk is this normal? Or should I loosen the wraps?

  • do u let it loose after set?

    please respond=)

  • @uscrunch yes for sure

  • @uscrunch Yes. You have your wraps on so tight that they are just about cutting the blood from flowing to your feet. Knees wraps work great and protect that patella tendon. But after my set I can't wait to take them off. They should be very tight.

  • that's this helps me out!

  • looks like he needs to spend less time wrapping knees and more time lifting

  • @cmanliv seriously?

  • I dont know anything about knee wrapping, but my doctor recommended me to use them... my question is doesn't it stop proper blood circulation? And do you have to wrap your knees only before the specific excercises during your workout? Or can you wear them during the entire workout?

  • @monkoev specific workout mainlt squat and leg press but since you have knee issues you should do knee strenghing exercises.

  • nice legs dude

    !

  • god damn chill on the tightness, its supposed to support but not cut off your circulation

  • I'm about to start training for professional wrestling and all the guys are telling me that the most important piece of gear is the knee pads. I have kind of bad knees so would I get any benefit of using this underneath a knee pad, or is just knee pads sufficient?

  • @xXxoopsxXx Just make sure to do weighted lunges and strengthen that knee and wear more than adaquete protection for that knee. And if you wear knee straps dont wear straps too much cause it weakens your knees.

  • does this guy specialize in knee wrapping?

  • @brandonarizmendi yeah i usually enter the knee wrap only division

  • Great video, probably the best knee wrap how-to I've seen yet. I really appreciate the pro's and con's of each style.

    Thanks!

  • Excellent vid, cheers. Though I'm curious why nearly all squatters/powerlifters are real fat bastards?

  • I appreciated the pros/cons after each example. This is an excellent video! Thank you.

  • I will start using knee wraps, but that looks, like it hurts

  • is their a style that is best used for when you are taking creatine?

hahah jokes... so many dumb questions i thought i chuck another one out their.

  • cheers bud,

    great info

  • which one helps you move the most weight?

  • i just started doing power front squats getting a little bounce off the bottom, and the next day im having trouble bending my right knee. can anyone off me some help here on what i did and what i should do about it? im obviously thinking straps. thanks!

  • Thanks for the upload man! Getting wraps soon this definitely helps.

  • To derkypoo42 - thanks for uploading this video - it's very helpful as i just bought my first knee wraps as i am now squatting weight where i need them & although the basic concept of" wrap them tight round your knees" is simple - it's good to see the correct way to wrap them foir best results. THANK YOU.

  • I believe that that was a 3meter or 3.5 meter because I have a 3, and I couldn't finish the sub-x quite as well as he did.

  • nope 2.5m

  • @Chuteboxemma You must not be pulling it tight enough if he can do it with a 2.5 and you can't :)

  • Great video. Thanks for the products btw guys. I'm an 18year old freshmen (1st semester) in college. Trying for RB. These knee wraps give me about a 40lb lift then going raw and with no wraps. Squating around 405. But I only weigh 150 lol so Ill take it. Gotta try these new/different styles. Going to be using the, Sub-X tried the wrap in my room, very good support, going to use it in two days for my max lift. I'll let you'all know if it works well!

  • How long is that wrap? 2 or 2.5 mts?

  • believe 3 or 3.5 my friend

  • it's 2.5

  • Should I use this if I have tendonitits? I used to squat quite a bit but it started to bother my knee.

  • Im not an expert, but I know people ith arthritis, they just do low weight squats, and squat a little high. like 135 quarter squats. idk much about tendonitis, but I would say lightly rap your knees, and do light weight squats. see if that helps your knees.

  • @MagicalHobo1001 use sleeves instead of wraps. this will warm up your tendons and ligaments.

  • Thanks for sharing

The different types of ways to wrap your knees.

  • is this just for bodybuilder or can it be used for general knee support?

  • mainly for powerlifting but general knee support is the main idea

  • its for powerlifting not bodybuilding lol

I wouldnt reconmend using it for lunges ;)

  • They are very tight. People use knee sleeves for general support.

  • ive been powerlifting for about 5-6years now and feel totally dumb that i didnt know of most of these tecniques, i cant wait till my next workout to try them.thanks for posting such a useful video

  • how tight?

  • tight as you can possibly get'em

  • As long as you get pins and needles...

  • to be honest this is a good video thanks bro!

  • These wraps are 2.5 metre long ??

  • this makes me wanna lift

  • Detecting perfect, legal squat depths for ANY / ALL federations has now become an exact science at w w w squatprecision (dot) com, or do a u tube search for squat precision

  • Very intresting, in Poland most powerlifters prefer to use "the nichols tread technique" or what do you call it....

  • I like the look of the Nichols Tread Tech I'm probly going to use this one.

  • nice

  • Awesome job here Derek!

  • do what? where does westside come into play here?

  • lmfao Hahahahahahahaha

  • Very good music! Does somebody know what band it comes from?

  • AC/DC

  • have you lived on planet earth for any length of time?

  • Do you get more from the nicohls x one or the sub x technique?

  • sub x personally

  • cool, thanks man...I appreciate you making this

  • This company sells great stuff just like inzer or perhaps better, great video thanks for posting.

  • in my opinion APT makes the best wraps on the market.

    lightyears beyond Inzer

  • Thanks!

  • Very nice video, thanks for showing us how to wrap!

  • Thank you for an interesting video!

  • is this a 2m wrap or 2.5?

  • 2.5, the techniques are the same with 2 meter, just less revolutions

  • last one prolly the best w/out the weird bow tie shit dow.

  • Are you using IPF 2 meter wraps or longer ones?

  • 2.5m techniques aren't much different with 2m.

  • thanks!

  • very informative, now I know how the polish wrap themselves in the IPF comp. with that Nichols tread technique.
