only i have to say is that i wish the rear tires were a little wider. i looks like it needs more footprint. other than that the car is freakin awesome.
@777racingzack Why not Cossie. One of the best engines in the world - especially if it needs to be driven hard all the time. As a package (including cost) there's not a lot can match a Cosworth.
@Traxxasaddict17 Its actually a Ford Cosworth 4 cylinder engine, 280hp. Not to mention, this runs about 80,000 pounds opposed to the T1 at what, 300,000? The T1 is great though don't get me wrong
proportions, everything is spot on. I like the cut outs, the waist line .. the weakest links aesthetically are the wheels and the number plate looks crap where it is. I know it has to have one but i think they forgot
Absolutely astounding. The Cossie four pot makes gobs of power and with 540hp/ton, it sits only 19hp/ton behind the legendary McLaren F1 and leers down upon the astronomical Bugatti Veyron 16.4's 521hp/ton screaming to 60mph in 2.8 seconds. Only a handful of hypercars can achieve that kind of explosive acceleration without churning the Earths surface into a smoking heap of rubble along their way. Even when compared the Caparo F1, the BAC Mono stands with better reliability, looks, and price.
The very first true rendition of an F1 style car for the road. Hands down spectacular.
BUT ! we all must pay respect to the Ariel Atom team for getting people thinking in this format. This is everything we love about the Atom and KTM Crossbow put together into the most exclusive visually impressive motor to come along in many years, fortifying the genre. Do make this road legal for the US.
Exclusive and unique is great, unobtainable is pointless, and a waist of brillance.
To be honest, aside from the slightly more usability from the other supercars in the background, the mono really appears to be the next generation in sportscars.
It is an old concept, but now its clear that concept was merely ahead of its time.

the sad thing is, there is a Porsche GT in the background, my dream car of all time, and I would take the Mono in a heartbeat.

since it is a sequential gearbox, do you still need to use the clutch to get the car moving?
OtherVincentLee 3 months ago
@OtherVincentLee at 1st gear yes. Not only the pedal but a button on the steering too.
