can you please help, im using a sony erricsom experia arc and i can send long text messages because it turns to mms at a point. how can i remove the mms settings on my phone?

@psbigdaddy Go Menu>Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Network>Access Point Names. There you should have maybe more than one account, but there should be one for the MMS, tap on it and then press the menu button to Delete APN. -Josh

@0casey9 Yes it has a on-screen qwert keyboard. When you are going to type a message just flip the phone to the left to get it in landscape, you should then see the full screen qwerty keyboard on the phone. -Josh

this phone has the worst SMS MMS options ever , why cant i view messages in list view like any cheap phone ive seen ?

why cant i simply forward a message to multiple recipriants at a touch of a button , like any phone ive used since god knows when ?

i cant believe how backwards the most important feature of a phone is .

The rest of the phone is so spot on tho , which makes this extra frustrating :(

@cybadaz If you don't like the SMS/MMS system on the phone what you could do is download a messaging application from the android market, there is one for example called Handcent that most people find it great and easy to use. Hope this works for you. -Josh

how do you add more than 1 number to a text message that is not in your contacts? Can you go directly to a contacts list rather than typing in names that you happen to remember are the contact list?

@chetafunk You cannot add multiple contacts to an SMS or search your contact list. You may want to search your local Android Market to find a SMS application that works for you.

@Psych09SNSD I see that the Xperia™X10 is listed on the Korean Sony Ericsson site, this leads me to believe that the phone comes in Korean. My X10 has generic North American software though, so you will need to make sure that you get one that was intended for the Korean market!

@Psych09SNSD I have the phone. Im korean. Sometimes let say for the music u add a song like. SNSD- Oh. Sometimes comes out properly sometimes comes up messed up. For messaging u can recieve korean messages but cant send out any. I hope the new software update can do that.

@colokid3 Hi, When you select Messaging, press the Menu key (on the left) and then tap Settings. Scroll to the bottom. Under Notifications, tap Select Ringtone, then Silent. Then check the box below to make it vibrate when you get a message.

To change the ringtone volume, in the menu select Settings, then Sound & Display. Ringer Volume is the second option on the list.
