I had a 71 convertible. Turned out to be a great investment, but as a car, what a piece of low quality junk. It would take a fortune to try and upgrade it to any standard of quality, and then it wouldn't be a Cuda anymore, probably like this car. The 60's A and B bodies were better, more solid cars, IMO.

That isn't a body kit!!!!! all of the Sheet metal on it is hand made except for the trunk decklid (which is original) The front clip is all Carbon fiber
It was made from molds taken from hand built sheet metal panels and then hand layed carbon fiber in the molds.
I appreciate the work that went into this car, but in the end I'm just not crazy about the way it turned out. From many angles this thing looks odd. A good pro-touring 71 cuda with a stock body actually looks better IMO.
That car has over 1600 hours of fab work....every piece on that car is 100% handmade custom and one of a kind. even the motor is custom aluminum forged.
What I think would be sick, would be some Sick like Good Driver Vs. Evil Driver Scenario (kinda like the Bullitt Chase Scene) only the Good Guy would be Driving a White/Blue Shelby GT500 Mustang, & the Evil Guy would be Driving a Black 1967-1969 Yenko Camaro SS with the Yenko Racing Stripes on the Hood being Red....that would be f-ing sick

i like all makes of muscle cars but they f*cked up this Cuda. in my opinion the front is too low. they ruined the original body shape and it looks like they forgot about the suspension. ive seen cars built with 1/4 of that budget that look and handle better than this car.
Yes, it does appear that the (re-)designers overlooked tweaking the suspension. In all, the roll-axis of most cars is purposely less-than optimum -- forcing cars to understeer, to make them "safer." I wish I understood suspensional dynamics better, so that I could understand hot to modify a car's roll-axis.

That costs more in labour than what it does to build a ferrari from scratch all hand built to precision and wait 2 years for delivery and thats including the actual car. This car was an awesome car but he got absolutely ripped if he spent that money.

I don't think most of you guys understand Hot Rodding. For an interesting read, get ahold of April 2006's Popular Hot Rodding. A lot of you say it should only be worth 100K to 200K. That wouldn't even buy the chassis of this Cuda. Details include a rear mounted transaxle, flat underbelly treatment for Aerodynamics, topfuel transmission bellhousing, multiple machined bezels for the entire car, so on and so on. Car designer Chris Ito designed it, and he bassically left no body panel untouched.

That car has over 1600 hours of fab work....every piece on that car is 100% handmade custom and one of a kind. even the motor is custom aluminum forged.

i like all makes of muscle cars but they f*cked up this Cuda. in my opinion the front is too low. they ruined the original body shape and it looks like they forgot about the suspension. ive seen cars built with 1/4 of that budget that look and handle better than this car.

Yes, it does appear that the (re-)designers overlooked tweaking the suspension. In all, the roll-axis of most cars is purposely less-than optimum -- forcing cars to understeer, to make them "safer." I wish I understood suspensional dynamics better, so that I could understand hot to modify a car's roll-axis.

That costs more in labour than what it does to build a ferrari from scratch all hand built to precision and wait 2 years for delivery and thats including the actual car. This car was an awesome car but he got absolutely ripped if he spent that money.
And dont try and bag ferrari saying their build quality is not any good, no other car company in the world can match their building techniques.

I don't think most of you guys understand Hot Rodding. For an interesting read, get ahold of April 2006's Popular Hot Rodding. A lot of you say it should only be worth 100K to 200K. That wouldn't even buy the chassis of this Cuda. Details include a rear mounted transaxle, flat underbelly treatment for Aerodynamics, topfuel transmission bellhousing, multiple machined bezels for the entire car, so on and so on. Car designer Chris Ito designed it, and he bassically left no body panel untouched.

I know, but a Lamborghini Diablo goes 200 too, and handles well, and that doesn't cost no million bucks. I'm not knocking it, If that's someones dream, God bless them, It's just not my style. I would buy a Ford GT350, Ferrari, or Lamborghini before I went dropping that kinda coin modernizing an old muscle car like the Cuda. God bless.

Oil smoke out exhaust? I like an engine that does not blow smoke, I don't care if it was expensive, it doesn't seem like it should blow oil. Looks got ruined by modern wheels and dropped too far for my tatste, It does not matter cause it wasn't my money.

It's a hot rod. I'm not a big fan either, but what this guy did with his money is no different than a wheel tub job, aftermarket hood scoop, and aftermarket rims. It's one mans vision come to life. How many other people can say that THEY have brought their vision to life?? Chip Foose is another... some of his creations you hate, some you love. But ALL are his vision brought to life. That's what hot rodding is all about.

Yeah...There's a reason the 71 'Cuda is one the most sought after classic's. It's a beautiful car just as it came out of the factory. The only redeeming thing about the owner is that he did what what he wanted to. It's hard to believe he spent a million bucks to get it to look like this though.

I've definitely seen worse rims on muscle cars. My only complaint is i'd rather have the same size wheels front/back. I'd beat the crap out of it too if I spent $1mil on it. I wouldn't consider this beating the crap out of it though.

I used to own a 86 1/2 Supra 5 Speed, and it was a piece of shit. It was quick, but totally unreliable. After 1 week, number 5 cylinder warped, and I ended up having to sell it to a junk yard for $200 bucks in the long run, cause nobody else wanted it. I'll never buy foreign again.
