It was quite effective despite being not very accurate. It was cheap and easy to make and for the price of a V-2 rocket you could buy 50 V-1s.

Germany lost zero pilots from the V-1 program, and pilots don't grow on trees so the Germans understood the value of a cruise missile.

the airdrop test seen on this vid were from a He111 as part of the piloted program. Catapault launches were in the range of 15g;' - too much for a pilot. note the V1 dropped here is suffering from 'dutch roll' sability problems

@Lucicsux Well, the US developed he nuclear bomb first, so all tactics aside, that would have definitively ended the German aggression. Also, technology alone without wise tactics and strategy will not win. Attacking Russia along with all of the other German fronts was monumentally stupid. And running hundreds of R&D programs at the same time, without focusing on what is critical to win is also not so schmart. The US focused on the bomb and radar and cheap plentiful tanks and planes.

If the Nazi's had won World War 2, alot of us wouldn't even be alive today, Hitler would of had most of our families killed years before our parents were born. @ChoonDSW There was very little resistance to Nazi doctrine in 1930's Germany. Hitler was revered in Germany as their saviour at the end of the 1930's recession and the NAZI party had a huge membership, Todays Germans like to distance themselves from the NAZI party but in reality most of their parents and grandparents were NAZI and most were proud of the Geman military victories in Europe.
