The Super Mario World I have came on a Special copy of Super Mario All-Stars and is not compatible with the old SMW codes because Nintendo change the game(I.E. Luigi looks like Luigi and not Mario palette swap). Can anyone get me Game Genie or Pro Action Replay(Game Genie preferred)codes for this version?Or tell me how to covert the old Game Genie codes to this version.
when i did this trick on my emulator when Mario jumped he just got stuck in the ground and the Koopa got him. i was like WTF! :0 and then i was in control. great glitch though!!! :) :) :) :) :) (thats enough!!!!!) :(
Hey Dude, Nice Vid. I tried this on my SMW ROM, and not from the SNES emulator or Super Mario All-Stars ROM, It was on the Program SMAS was on. Oh yeah, Baby!!! It worked when i did it! I hate you! *Hug* *Police Comes*
I've done this before too if you die you'll end up in a weird stage with no music and no escape, if you die you'll just start over again back and there is no way to complete the level.
I remember hitting in a wrong code and I than wrote it down which gave me the chance to play that intro level aswell but with a normal intro, I think.
Game Genie has a toggle switch, you should be able to turn off the super jump once you enter that stage. However, I remember tons of times where the game would freeze from being slightly knocked, so I would jam napkins and stuff to hold it steady.

A "little bit" seems to be 3+ years.
I used to love entering different codes to mess with the title screen though. Takes me back.
The invincibility code combined with the short jump is kinda fun too.

I believe that is the beginning of the SPECIAL world named Groovy.

What happens is this: when you die at the title screen, you go to level $24 which is the level used for the title screen.

the reason you here that music is because the title screen level is the first third of one of the special zone levels.

You can use the game genie within an emulator? Zsnes has one built in?
DanWelshy86 2 years ago
The intro stage is a playable stage, without cheats.

Cool! This means that the intro of Super Mario World is not a scripted event, but uses the game engine just like any other gameplay..

Hah that's pretty cool. I never even had a game genie so I never got to try out anything like this.
laffer35 3 years ago 2
I've done that with the Pro Action Replay. It's always fun typing in random codes trying to find one that does something.
