  • i actually did that but didn't know how. I always wondered how i did that.

  • A "little bit" seems to be 3+ years.

I used to love entering different codes to mess with the title screen though. Takes me back.

The invincibility code combined with the short jump is kinda fun too.

  • I believe that is the beginning of the SPECIAL world named Groovy.

  • Put in the 1 up in reserve cheat and then die in this level and it will say time up

  • ZSNES has a game genie

  • Awesome!

  • 1:29 These are Pokeys :D

  • Yeah I found that too

  • I remember this happening to me too XD thanks for uploading!

  • I found this as a kid too! XD I loved this!

  • just a big ERROR

  • CN U STOP SAYING S***!!!!!! srry

  • once i was playing sonic 2, and i put in a longer jump, and knukles died in the cutscene.

  • The Super Mario World I have came on a Special copy of Super Mario All-Stars and is not compatible with the old SMW codes because Nintendo change the game(I.E. Luigi looks like Luigi and not Mario palette swap). Can anyone get me Game Genie or Pro Action Replay(Game Genie preferred)codes for this version?Or tell me how to covert the old Game Genie codes to this version.

  • What happens is this: when you die at the title screen, you go to level $24 which is the level used for the title screen.

  • you remind me of bill from freaks and geeks.

  • 1:40

  • 1:11

  • there is a code for Mega Jump that is bigger than super jump for game genie.

  • So if you die again does it say P4 the next time after game over?

  • Just tried it and yes it does when you run out of p's it goes to O 5

  • Windows schmindows!

  • redo the damned video!!!!!!!!!

  • kikc ass lol

  • when i did this trick on my emulator when Mario jumped he just got stuck in the ground and the Koopa got him. i was like WTF! :0 and then i was in control. great glitch though!!! :) :) :) :) :) (thats enough!!!!!) :(

  • lol P5...

  • Oh... cool!

  • P5...

  • OMFG Scary!!

    what hell did you do??

  • cool vid bro

  • i compile all my drivers into the kernel... which one were you lacking??

  • kfc!

  • Hey Dude, Nice Vid. I tried this on my SMW ROM, and not from the SNES emulator or Super Mario All-Stars ROM, It was on the Program SMAS was on. Oh yeah, Baby!!! It worked when i did it! I hate you! *Hug* *Police Comes*

  • Yes, Oame Gver- I mean Game Over. OameGver is going to be my second account. Super Mario World Walkthrough Coming Soon.

  • I've done this before too if you die you'll end up in a weird stage with no music and no escape, if you die you'll just start over again back and there is no way to complete the level.

    SCARY

  • thats why Linux blows....so incompatible....

  • the reason you here that music is because the title screen level is the first third of one of the special zone levels.

  • I found this with the fly code

  • i remember finding this when i was 7. i remember finding this without codes...

if only i remembered how *sigh*

  • You can use the game genie within an emulator? Zsnes has one built in?

  • The intro stage is a playable stage, without cheats.

  • dude you can tell just by his silhouette that this guy is a first class nerd!

  • I remember hitting in a wrong code and I than wrote it down which gave me the chance to play that intro level aswell but with a normal intro, I think.

  • am i the only one freaked out by game fuck ups?

  • Pokies, not Spinies, :D

  • nice trick lol

  • :> You made me realize how far a crappy TV screen goes toward the enjoyment of classic consoles

  • Cool trick, I never knew that.

Game Genie has a toggle switch, you should be able to turn off the super jump once you enter that stage. However, I remember tons of times where the game would freeze from being slightly knocked, so I would jam napkins and stuff to hold it steady.

  • Awesome video... I like it how you found this out at such a young age lol...

  • lol you make the most mundane things enjoyable....keep up the good game vids

  • Cool! This means that the intro of Super Mario World is not a scripted event, but uses the game engine just like any other gameplay..

  • that was sum pretty nice shit :) made my crappy day a bit better :D

  • Hah that's pretty cool. I never even had a game genie so I never got to try out anything like this.

  • I've done that with the Pro Action Replay. It's always fun typing in random codes trying to find one that does something.
