  • Thanks, most useful vid ive seen for a long time :) peace x

  • What % was the tca peel ?

  • @jason0998 It was a 30% TCA peel

  • @DanaGoldbergMD I have acne scars so I bought a chemical peel online, It's 21% tca, will that give me similar results or should I put two layers? Aslo, Is it safe? it's from a very renowned company.

  • lol i acidently did a chemical peel on my face, i first had a rash and to get rid of it i put on rash cream. I aplied it like 8 times over 2 days and one day when i wroke up in the morning my face was clear of all the ackne scars. I read the bottle and it says it peels skin. Later my ackne came back and i tried it again but it didnt work for some reason idk mybe i got immune to it or some thing.

  • What kind of Peel did you get? How much did cost you?

  • @TEERUKWILD Sorry for the delayed response. The peel was a 30% TCA (trichloracetic acid) peel and costs $500. I got mine in a package with skin care though so it was a little less.

  • So cute!

  • Peels should not peel off your skin or cause a sunburn affect. 30% glycolic every two weeks will give you the results you need with 0 down time. This peel looks very intense and can cause excessive damage to the skin resulting in other complications. Try some at home peels by Sephora or go to a professional medical spa where there are doctors present. I recommend nothing higher than 30% if your looking to solve such simple issues.

  • hey dude im thinking of getting a chemical peel for sun freakles on my shoulders and a few light 1's on my face which chemical peel would be the best for me for removing them and how many sessions would i need 1 or several?

  • So it takes atleast 2-3 weeks to heal? D:

  • @DanaGoldbergMD hey how much did this cost to get this procedure done?

  • How about firing up your rig behind you and rock out doc!

  • how much does this cost as well?

  • i have acne marks and a little bit of scars, will this help? thank you

  • @josephhh6

Acne sufferer here but after a TCA peel, (three sessions here), my face has been pretty clear

  • Thanks for the upload, im gonna have it next week and I needed to find out what to expect. Ive got really bad darkness under my eyes and I have had cautery for the mylia and I am also having weekly carboxy treatment as well, not to mention the twice daily facial creams for exfoliation.

  • Thanks for the upload, im gonna have it next week and I needed to find out what to expect.

  • hey man im 17 and my skin looks like shit its full of dark pruplish scars it really sucks! am i to young to get this done!??? and how much dose it cost?

  • looks good definatly considering this x

  • I did one few years ago a 20% worked great at removing tanning damage, but if you stop using spf it can come back. i need to have another one soon

  • @josephga01 - Yeah, spf is important. Also, using a good skin care line with hydroquinone (lightening cream) can help you keep up the results. You have to get those kits from a physician since they're prescription.

  • @josephga01 how does it come back if the damage has supposedly been removed ? i'm thinking about getting one done and i'd be fine in using spf for 6 months or so but I spend alot of time in cuba and like to get a tan atleast once a year, so will me face look the same again as soon as i go to the beach again ? is it new damage that comes or is it the old damage just comming back to the surface ?

  • Hi I'm 17 and am about to have a chemical peel. I was wondering if you could help me out? Are you satisfied with the results? Can you go outside as the skin is peeling? what do you do about the peeling skin, peel it off or wash it off?

P.S. I like your guitar setup in the back ground lol.

  • @nirvousfreek - I am very happy with the results, but you have to keep using sunscreen to prevent new damage in order for the effects to last. You can go outside while it's peeling, but you should wear a hat since your skin will be REALLY sensitive for about 2 weeks. The skin comes off on it's own. It's tempting to pick at it or scrub it off, but that can pull pieces off that aren't ready yet. That can create sores which could scar. It's best just to let it peel off on it's own.

  • @DanaGoldbergMD About how much did it cost?

  • Hey man, your advice would be much appreciated. I am thinking of having this done over summer but I am not looking to go to a professional place. I found a 40% Glycolic Peel on Amazon and I am wondering if this will work the same it did for you? I am a guy and I have some dark freckles (same color as moles) will it work? I have a freckle really close to the corner of my eye, should I use it there?

  • @dtlg123123 NO! don't, its better to spend bit more money, then later when u pay way more to fix if sth goes wrong! and specially not good to do it over summer, must wait till fall. who knows what u get if u buy over net; see example: skincarefromscratch * com/2009/03/chemical-acne-skin-peel-the-best-of-ebay/

  • @dtlg123123 - If you're not looking to go to a professional place, you're either at risk for having complications or at risk for just not getting any results. Definitely do not get the peel close to your eye at home (it is usually kept a few millimeters from the eye even when a physician is doing it). The glycolic peels are not as strong as the TCA peels usually (different chemicals). I also agree with the other commenter that you should wait until fall.

  • @dtlg123123 glycolic will NOT do anything to you. That kind of acid exfoliates the skin only. e.g. making your skin tone more even. On the other hand, if you're looking for something more drastic you need a TCA acid peel. The only problem with the TCA is that you will have 5 days approximately of bad image in addition to whatever imperfection you have already on your face. You should apply TCA once every other two weeks, one session following the other. Stop then 3 session ONLY .Good luck

  • Good Video. Thank you Brother

  • thanks for video brother

  • did your skin ever turned dark brown 1-2 days after the tca was applied? i did a verry strong tca peel 2-3 days ago and now it looks dark brown with dark red. you think this is normal? and when it peels off, does the new skin hurts when you touch it? because as i can see on your video it turned all red and it looks so painful to touch it. oh and what did you used to heal it after it peeled?

  • VERY HELPFUL THANKS

  • There is a little discomfort for about ten minutes, but it doesn't hurt at all after that. The peel takes about twenty minutes. Plus there's 30 minutes for the topical numbing cream to work. If you don't want the healing time (about 7 days of peeling and 10 days of redness), you can do laser treatments, but you need to have 2-4 of them to get the results of the peel. The down time for laser is 4 or 5 days of a little puffiness and redness with no peeling.

  • oh and how long did this usually take??

  • im about to get a chemical peel

im 19 but i have acne scars and im scared

    do you love your results?

im scared of the pain and healing time

i'm a full time college student and im scared of ppl looking at my red face

  • how old r u ?

  • The peel was a TCA 30% peel.

  • what kind of chemical peel did she use? I'm looking to do a peel like yours, I want to make sure I don't waste money on a peel that doesn't work. I tried finding it on her website but couldnt, being that I live in Georgia I dont plan on traveling to Cali anytime soon hah.

  • Is the peel a one time deal??

  • @Coolie220 - Generally the peel is a "one time" that will improve your skin's appearance and take between 5 and 10 years off your age. It will "reset" the aging clock and erase damage to give you a clean slate, but it won't stop the aging process, so you might want another peel sometime later to improve the appearance again.

  • @DanaGoldbergMD hi was just reading ur post, ive read that results for peels generally last 6 months to a year which conflicts with what u wrote so bit confused, and if they only last that period of time what is it that comes back ? blemishes, sun damage ? ive heard that peels remove sun damage so if its removed how can it come back ? is it new damage that comes or that the old damage never left? was just hidden for a while ? really appreciate an answer to that. cheers.

  • @tharowkilla - It doesn't really conflict with what I wrote. It does remove damage from the skin. The problem is the sun and time continue to affect the skin, so spots and fine lines can reform. Sun protection with a good sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays as well as protection like hats and shade help your results last past 6 months. Also, using a good skin care line prolongs your result. Think of skin care like a diet and a peel like exercise. I'll post more tomorrow...

  • @DanaGoldbergMD ok,but the old damage has gone tho is that right?obviously if u go in the sun still u can cause new damage but is it new damage and time aging the skin once again or is it the old damage just commin back to the surface?i dont understand how something removed can come back?if u have had ten years of sun damage removed how can it come back after 6 months even if you dont protect yourself?if it took that long to ruin your face but have it removed how does it come back so quickly?

  • @tharowkilla It's not the old damage coming back. When you do a peel, it remove a lot of the skin's pigment (spots). Think of your skin pigment like an umbrella. The more you remove, the more sensitive your skin is to the sun. Once you get a peel, your skin is lighter and more sensitive to sun damage. Some patients keep the result from their peel for years with good sun protection. Some patients go in the sun before they're healed and don't take care of their skin, and they lose the result

  • @DanaGoldbergMD ok, so is your face after a peel forever more sensitive to the sun ? or does the skins sensitivity to the sun return to normal after 6 months of so ? once you've had a peel do you need to use sunscreen forever or just in the healing period ? basically what i'd like to do is get a peel but still be able to get a nice dark tan once a year when i visit family in cuba, is that possible if i wait long enough for the skin to heal or will my chemical peel have been a waste of time ?

  • looks like you got yourself a sugar momma
