I think the music would be ok if the band didn't use the name "Stabat Mater Dolorosa", because they don't know what a REAL Stabat Mater is, if they did, they wouldn't have done the music this way. The reason why i didn't like the music is not because it's a heavy song (because I like black metal) It's because the song is not a Stabat Mater AT ALL

You must know, that even in the middle age there were some criticians of the catholic church. To show their meaning they toke a nice religious song as a Stabat Mater. Then, they made it sound differently and they laughed of the catolic church. This transformed version of the Stabat Mater was in use at the intro of this song!

@jacobbis4lovers Depends what black metal is for you. They are categorized as Symphonic BM, but the music sis pretty extreme. For me, I would say they are BM for the fact, the form is extreme and ideally pretty interesting too.

I like Anorexia Nervosa, Black Messiah, amy's ashes, and Epica. Black Metal/symponic is very interesting to me. I like how they don't try to be like every other modern band out there. I listen to a lot of death metal and grindcore music, but i listen to symponic when I'm stressed out because it relaxes me.
