Jeff Jarrett = Redneck Triple H. I have a great deal of respect for Jarrett's dad for what he did for Memphis wrestling, Jeff on the other hand, is a different story.
I swear to God, women and midgets have to fight twice as hard to be accepted by wrestling fans. Women's wrestling (with maybe the exception of Japan) is considered a joke by some idiots who's idea of women's wrestling is what WWE pumps out. Midgets have even had a tougher time. Other than in Mexico, midget wrestling has never been taken seriously, and I';ve seen Mexican minis that can outwrestle some of their larger counterparts.
There are two promotions that I follow religiously at the moment: CHIKARA and SHIMMER. I like PWG too, but the bad production value on their DVDs is my biggest beef with them
CHIKARA > ROH (at least at the moment) ROH is OK, but the lack of compelling storylines (other than the Kevin Steen stuff) is a turnoff for me at the moment
While i don't follow CHIKARA as much as most do, i'm glad to see that they started to bring in a lot of Joshi talents lately. I plan to buy all 3 Joshimania shows in a month or two since i've heard a lot of good thigs about them.
Great thoughts. One thing I hate is, in mainstream wrestling, guys don't evolve. They don't lose feuds and then learn from their mistakes. Punk has evolved. AJ Styles hasn't evolved. It shouldn't be a feud to feud thing. These characters should grow as they mature. They become smarter and stronger until their body can't keep up and they eventually retire.
BTW, I love the on-camera style. Who are your top 5 Chikara wrestlers?
@facepaintedlegend Ultra Mantis Black, Eddie Kingston, Gran Akuma, Hallowicked, Sara Del Ray. It can also go Mantis, Eddie, Icarus, Akuma, and Sara or Claudio. I like the growth and change that goes on with Chikara.
agree
