- Try using a new outlet

- Try cleaning the fan inside the power brick using a compressed air can

- It seems like playing less on your Xbox slim won't prevent anything bad from happening.

- I believe there is nothing wrong with your console, it is just the power brick.

- Try keeping the Xbox slim and power brick off the carpet.

- If none of that works, get a new power brick (you shouldn't even have to fucking do that -_-)

- Watching this video is depressing, N64 for the win, never fails.

I then made sure it was all the way in, then after that it was still red. So i did what the guy in the video did, I unplugged the Xbox slim from the wall outlet, I plugged it back in (only this time I used a new outlet) and my Xbox slim has been working fine for a couple days now. I have no idea what the hell happened to this poor guys 360 slim, but he should plug it in a completely different wall outlet. Either that, or it is multiple things that cause the power brick red light.

well dude i think you're gonna have to get past all the security screws and get all the way inside the cooling module and open it up all the way into the fan in order to have a real clue cause I'm thinking it's your fan that's clogged up.

You might want to get a new one that cost like 40 bucks or you can look inside Nd clean it with air compressor cause there might be dust I has the same problem

@Redx1868 Nope, sorry to say dust does not have any thing to do with electricity. If it were to be dust then i doubt a new 1 would work a couple of days -_-

I have the same xbox but mine randomly shuts off after about 10-15 mins of playing it and then the power brick ligt turns red and then i unplug it and then plug it back and it goes orange a d my xbox works fine but then it will shut off again and then the lihht will go red blah blah blah, i think my power brick is overheating so can i fix t or will i need to buy a new one?

first time i tried to turn on the console, the console turned green and then came a weird sound that came from the wall "BUM" so i imediately took it out from the wall. I hope that my power brick died not my Xbox 360 slim and there isn't any light on the power brick. The power brick smells really bad and i think its dead. if anyone knows what the prob could be please reply.

Mines Was Like That Too. The Same . until i took the front part of my 360 and blew in the usb ports and then tried it again and it turn yellow. yellow as good enough. its working perfectly for now. hope this helps

im a person that took apart the power brick and took a air compressor in it to clean it, i cleaned it thoroughly and it still doesnt work, there is something else that happens to break it besides it over heating and/or clogging with dust

@OHsoFLYBOYZ the light turns off verry quikly after unplugging it, witch would be cuased by bad capasitors in your power brick, in other words you have a bad power supply. also, read the sticker on the power brick, it says: power status (L.E.D) Green:power good

Red:fualt alarm

@monkeyboyqaz i tried fixing my power brick by taking out and cleaning the fan but none of my 50 drill bits worked and they all fit but the people who made them used a screw that requires a drill bit with an point at the tip of the bit to open it up so they dont want you to be able fix it they want you to have to buy a new one

Ok , alot of people it getting this problem , it a manufacture problem but you can fix it with only a call xbox support center they will send you a new one for free .

P.S the new one doesnt get this problem.
