@dirkblockwood Eh, it's alright. I enjoyed the new Star Trek, but it didn't really seem like I was watching a Star Trek film, you know?

@DirectorInLabor, I enjoyed the movie, but at times, I thought I was watching a cross between Star Wars and the re-imagined Battlestar: Galactica. As far as favorite performances in the reboot, I'd have to say Older Spock, Pike, McCoy, Scotty and Nero ... and not necessarily in that order.
