Sometimes, wearing poppies is nothing but an act of utter nationalism. If we're lucky enough, perhaps we'll eventually see the day when that's not the case. It'll be nice when we don't just wear them to show national pride, or even empathy for our grandparents, but in recognition of all soldiers, no matter who they fought for... it seems to me, if YouTube comments are any indication, the folks that do that are in the unfortunately overwhelming majority.

There's an issue using clocks nowadays because of the delay on digital television... either that or Channel 4 just couldn't be bothered...

They probably wouldn't have had a decent enough copy of the clock, it would have been generated live unlike the idents which were on tape.
It probably took their presentation team long enough just to bring back what they did without having to re-create and animate a clock for one use
