No, they are not allowed as pets, ocelots are protected animals, this one was confiscated by customs and needed somebody to take care of her. They are no pets, very wild to keep at home.
@pudiflor ocelots are protected being they became endangered due to hunting. in the 60s they actually where becoming popular pets. it had nothing to do with people keeping them as pets in the 60s. untill they are no longer endangered you cant have them as pets. but things are looking up for em there numbers are growing. they dont reproduce quickly like a house cat thats why its taking so long.
