  • My neighbors windows are vibrating:-) Hope they don't call the cops.

  • Had to look up Highways 61 and 49 to be sure, and, sure enough, they roll straight through Louisiana and Mississippi. U.S. 49 starts north from the water's edge in Gulfport, and 61 comes straight out of downtown NOLA.

  • God, if we could only get Chris, Buddy Miller, Mark Knopfler and Jimmy Vaughn together it would be Blues Heaven beyond belief.

  • @theart1rm AND J.J.Cale & Clapton aswell.

  • @Nakke144 Your right. I don't know who J.J.Cale is but I do know Clapton.

  • @theart1rm MAN - that is what I call "use your imagination" !!! Perfect idea !

  • @staniszow Thanks. I would love to see Chris's slide played along side Buddy's Wandre. And if Chris & Buddy would play his slide on the Wandre, one could only imagine the sounds that it would create. It would most likely be incredibly awesome.

  • Hi James, You are right when you say "His soul, his heart is in this music", Chris has said that for a long time. He became a POP artist by accident, but always wanted to play the Blues. After more than 25 years, and a few strokes with death because of his illness, he decided to go Blues. Since 2002, all his works have been the blues.

  • Including BLUE GUITARS, in 2005, (His own take on the History of Blues, a True Masterpiece!), and THE RETURN OF THE FABULOUS HOFNER BLUE NOTES (60s Blues), that came out earlier this year. On another note, CHRIS REA IS SO MUCH BETTER LIVE, IN CONCERT, than any of his studio albums can ever testify. :-)

  • @lilybee06 Like Laura Fabian he draws strength from his audience. He comes alive, shines brightly like a star. And I agree he puts more soul in his songs when he is live. He lives for music. He doesn't consider himself a Rock Star but a true musician. And he is considered by many the best slide guitarist in the world. And I agree with that assumption

  • @lilybee06 I've said this on another post. Blue Guitars is a true classic! He is a master of his art.

  • Oh, Ive gotta get my Harp out and jazz along with our man Chris here, Im just in the mood. Thanks Lily for responding. Ever noticed it's always after a moment, a revelation, a experiance in our life that things happen for us how we want it? I've for so long wanted to play like this man, and now with prayer and study I might come close. God bless Chris. Out with the Harp...

  • can you please tell me the name of this blue guitar he is using?

  • that's an Italia Maranello :-)

  • James from uk here. stupid question for you, do I have to like his early career music to be a real fan of this man? His soul, his heart is in this music and I like it, I like it to its core. I heard 'Auberge', 'Nothing to Fear', Soup of the Day' when my father listened to him when I was younger and I loved the sound. Do I have to like his more Pop Rock side to be a fan? Man this Guy's got heart, he encouraged my Guitar playing... God bless him.

  • He comes from my hometown -I sure wish he would come back and do a gig -it would be awesome

  • Oh how I wish he would come here (the States.) I swear, I'd quit my damned job to be where ever his show was.

  • he has already toured Europe mate back of last year and begining of this year -tour ended MAY.
